"Fun"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

This unit may make it easy to find a dedicated sound you may want to use in a single box.
Sound
Blows me away for the money you cant get a better sound device. Something for everyone and every guitar.
Features
Lots of different sounds and you can set paramiters to suit your style and playing ability. Can blend I believe 6 different sounds at once. You can also save them to memory. If you want you can clear them and start over if it gets full. On the down side it is very lightweight plastic. I'm not sure it would last as a road warrior but fine for home/studio work. I wish it had or I could find a backward or reverse note feature to use with a pedal.
Ease of Use
Easy to use straight out of the box for basic features on program. Much harder to use for the different type/param and setting values to save and blend.
Quality
It is built well but can't say how it would hold up on the "road". Would probably want to carry a back up, but for 50. dollars + what do you expect? I rate the unit a 10 for the fun factor, a blast!!
Value
This is where it shines. The most fun you can have for 50. bucks, at least in my town.
Manufacturer Support
Never used them.
The Wow Factor
A great addition to my home set up. Students will find it useful, maybe distracting. Play nice!!

"Korg keeps doing it!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
Over all this thing get's a FAT 10!!! It has it's flaws but the value and sound make's up for them and more. If it were lost or stolen I would get another one for sure. It won't replace My main rig but I wouldn't have a problem plugging it in and using it when need be.
Sound
When I fist got the pedal and looked at it I was having bad zoom 505 flash backs. I was really suprised with the range of distortion this pedal has. Almost everything sounds good and only 1 or 2 of them made you think "what's this supposed to be?" The tone for the most part is nothing over the top except maybe the US MDN mode. I didn't like the US or UK Modern amps. They both sound like hooking up 6 fuzz boxes and letting it buzz. I play Metal and hard rock, no nu metal. I like a sharp edge and want my palm mutes to chug istead of buzz and this unti works great. The noise gate works well and the cab sims. are the usual crappy cab sims. This unit is very quite overall. The effects can become great sounding if you spend enough time tweaking it. The reverbs a poor, when switching from spring, room, hall you would think it would make a differance but they all sound the same. You can get a great clean, crunch and lead sound out of this pedal. There is a small delay when switching patches but it's nothing to fret about, jamming live and no one will notice. The tuner work good and is far better than other pedals in this class.
Features
The features blow all the other companies out of the water. Unlike Zoom 505 and Digitech RP, the Korg will let you adjust all parameters in the effects. It's not like older pedals where you have Chorus 0-9 where everything is already preset. You can actually adjust the speed, depth, time, mode, and mix. The only thing that would make this better is if they would have put and global EQ on it but lets remember how much it was. It's like Korg found a way to shrink a big Multi pedal down and found a way where to edit everyting with 2 buttons and 2 knobs.
Ease of Use
It's easy once you work with it but becuase everything works off of 4 control buttons you have to remember what the initials represent.
Quality
This is the pedals down fall. It's made out of light cheap plastic. It will break, the ? is when. Im 100% positive that I will have a shorted input/output jack before to long. You can modify it a little bit to sturdy it up.
Value
Great value for the sound and control you have. It's built weak but what else could you get for $70 that has this tone and options?
Manufacturer Support
Never had to deal with them yet.
The Wow Factor
Your friends with the tube stack will probably laugh. Just plug in and start shreding. High price equipment or any multi pedal dosen't make you a better player.

"Like a rack full of effects you can carry in your pocket"

overall I think it is a very nice little unit and well worth the money
Sound
This Little unit really impressed me! I think it really sounds good!! Many different amp simulations and the clean and acoustic simulation sounds good as well!
Features
Many editing possibilities of which I've barely begun to scratch the surface! The fact that it can run on batteries and is so small makes it very portable!
Ease of Use
It is fairly easy to use once you READ THE MANUAL!
Quality
Yeah, it's plastic, What do you expet for $50! but it seems to be pretty sturdy to me. as long as you don't go stompin' on it like a wildman, it should hold up well!
Value
never dealt with customer service

"Great but want an expression pedal."

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
Acoustic sound is not what I would expect.
Features
Is there another expression pedal that works with it? Pedal costs significantly more than the unit - if you can find one.
Ease of Use
The worst manual I have ever read.
Quality
Skeptical about the plastic construction but I've had it for about 3 years. Still intact.
Value
$50 brand new!!
Manufacturer Support
Haven't used them.

"Great buy for home, but not for gigging!"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
I will use it tell it dies on me. Fun to play around with and it has very good tone and sound for only 70 bucks or less. This thing is best for rock and maybe some acoustic tones. Not too many weird sounds like the Digitech line. I have an RP-Digi and most of the built in patches are useless. This one nails any sound you want right from the get go.
Sound
Love the distortion and the acoustic simulator cant be beat for the price! Nice crunch and dirt tube tones too. I now use this instead of my Digi rp-50. The clean sounds could be better..
Features
Has everything except a drum machine and you cant fly through the patches on this one. You have to tap one at a time to get to a another channel
Ease of Use
Well this is where I think its weak, the manual is very vague, but I also haven't spent allot of time trying to edit. Hey it sounds good with what is has already..
Quality
Cheap Plastic,, I mean cheap...
Value
Cant beat what you get for the price. If it only had a drum machine and was made of sturdier plastic it would be perfect!
Manufacturer Support
Don't know and haven't needed it. I give a 7 cause their web site is useful...
The Wow Factor
Looks nice tell you pick it up. Then it feels cheap and very light..

"Great Deal!!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

I love this product and you can't really beat it for the price.
Sound
This pedal has so many great distortion and amp models. I play mostly AC/DC, Van Halen, Metallica, and Black Sabbath. With this pedal I can get very close to their actual tones. Van Halen being the hardest. The Acoustic sim is great and all the distortions and effects are great except I don't like the US modern. It's too fuzzy.
Features
What really surprised me about this is you can control the speed of the phaser/flanger. I don't know if this is normal on all multi-effect pedals but I was not expecting this. I like being able to have about 6 effects used at once.
Ease of Use
When I got this it took some time until I figured out how to program my own sounds into it. But after I figured it out, it's simple to use.
Quality
While it's made of plastic, this pedal feels quite sturdy. Just don't drop it off a building or onto concrete and it should be good. But would be smart to pay the extra 20 bucks for the warranty.
Value
Worth every penny.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had support with this product but I've dealt with Korg before and they are amazing
The Wow Factor
I must say the product doesn't look TOO appealing but whos gonna look at your pedal while your shredding on stage?
