I don't know what else to say about this product other than it is a complete game changer. As someone who hates amp modelers, and feels a tendency to vomit whenever discussing Line 6 POD products or similar, I was completely blown away by the Kemper. The tones you can get out of this thing are endless. Pick an amp, any amp, and search for it in the Rig Manager software, double click it and boom, you have the most accurate representation of that amp you will find, without having to buy the real thing. There are thousands of amp profiles you can use for free, as well as some well-known premium retailers that sell profiles for a very reasonable price. These are completely worth it to buy and they sound great. One of the greatest things about the Kemper is if you are playing live, you can plug straight into FOH and not have to deal with horrible cab mic'ing. Most people will attest that they have the best live tone they ever had using the Kemper. It has multiple outputs so you can have any kind of monitor configuration you could ever hope for. For studio recording, the Kemper is a godsend as it functions as an amplifier, a DI box, and a reamp box. Once you have the sound you want, run it through your interface and play, it's that easy. The unpowered version cannot be played through a traditional cabinet without an external power amp, but this is a good thing, because you now have an option to use whatever poweramp you would like. Also, you may not want to use a traditional cab anyway, as the cab simulation on the Kemper is so crucial to the sound of the profile, and many recommend using an FRFR cab anyway. I would say that the only drawback to the Kemper is ease of use. There is definitely a learning curve. You're not going to pull it out of the box, plug it in, and get amazing tone right away. You have to shop for profiles that fit your needs, then tweak the endless settings to get the tone exactly right. Luckily, there are plenty of tutorial videos that show you how to do everything. And as always, zZounds did an incredible job with shipping and handling.

As always, " to each his own" ..... hate to rain on the Kemper parade...but I have to say, in my opinion, this thing is way overpriced, and TOO MUCH over hyped. I have been using the Fractal Axe-Fx Xl II + for the last year and loving it. Just looking for additional sounds, so I thought I would try the Kemper.I took a whole day to give it an honest test. It did not pass. Maybe 5 usable sounds out of the 200 PRESETS. All of those were the clean ones. All of the distortion high gain ones all sounded about the same, just with different EQ, that is it. Without some delay and reverb added, they sounded terrible dry. So for me, this unit was a BIG let down. Sorry, but that is my opinion.....I am now off to try the Line6 HELIX....
