I wanted another backup for my main Kelly (2001 USA series) and I fell in love with the look of this guitar. The grain of the sandblasted ash is gorgeous, and the continuation onto the headstock with the raised metal logo makes it look and feel premium. The neck has a satin/matte finish which plays super fast.Saw the specs and was intrigued by the price. I recently switched to 8 guage strings which makes my guitars play fast and smooth and still packs a heavy chug. This guitar pairs perfectly with 8s. And the tone is killer. There were no issues upon arrival and just needed a slight neck adjustment for C drop out the box (I also love the easy truss rod access). And the fretwork didn't need any tinkering which was a relief. Jackson seems to be getting back into making quality instruments. This is a bang for your buck guitar and its worth every cent.
Sound
The Blackouts pack a killer output and sounds great for metal
Features
Getting rid of the tone knob was a plus. Could have used a regular Floyd, but the 1500 gets the job done.
Ease of Use
Great playability and sound.
Quality
Very well made. I play it almost as much as my USA series
Value
Definitely worth the price
Manufacturer Support
I did not deal with the company.
The Wow Factor
Bold and killer look with an aggressive edge and sound.

This is one of the best bang for your buck Jackson signature there is. From the sound and clarity of the chords to the playability of the fretboard this is worth the money. Would recommend a double adjustable strap just for improved standing comfort, all Kelly's have a tendency to neck drop but with the correct strap it is easily fixable.

"Best Kelly"

I played a Kelly in the 90’s,I’ve done my best playing on that one but like a lot of other players I let that one get away. Lately I’d been jonesing for a shredder guitar and what better than another Kelly!? It’s definitely at the top of its class, great pickups, not too shrill like some actives are, they sound like a higher powered JB/Jazz set. The neck is thin and flat like most other shredders but seems rounded on the back, and the ebony fretboard is great. I’ve found that the neck is affected by changes in humidity more than some of my other guitars but the heel adjustment makes it super simple to tweak the neck when needed. I haven’t had a problem with neck dive like some others have said, but I’ve been playing Explorers and some other pointy guitars a bit so maybe I’m used to it. I’m not a Floyd Rose fan,but I do like the way they make the guitar ring a bit more so even though I don’t use it I enjoy the tone. The finish is a new experience for me but I have no problem with it,everyone who’s seen the guitar just loves it! Wish it came with a case but that’s how it goes, gonna have to grab one from zZounds!

"Problem with angle of guitar when on strap and playing standing up"

I love the looks, feel and sound of the guitar when i am playing it sitting down with the guitar in my lap. But when I try to play standing up with the guitar on strap, the top of the guitar leans forward so much that it is impossible to play.
Sound
The guitar is not payable standing up because it leans forward so much. I have never seen a guitar do that.
Features
Guitar strap bolts need to be redesigned, the one in the front to be specific.
Manufacturer Support
No. I am going to call them.
