Jackson Pro Series Dinky DK7 Electric Guitar, 7-String

Dig for the depths of heaviness with this 7-string Dinky. A pair of Seymour Duncan pickups and a Floyd Rose tremolo make this axe a metalhead's first choice.

"Nice guitar... HOWEVER "

So, let me start by saying that the guitar plays great and sounds absolutely killer... HOWEVER, the frets were so sharp when the guitar came in that I could’ve sawed someone in half. The worst “suicide frets” I’ve ever experienced when purchasing a new guitar. Probably, it had something to do with the dry climate where live or something or maybe mine was one that slipped passed QC, who knows. That’s really the only negative thing I can say about it. Other than the razor frets, the guitar sounds amazing and plays super smooth. Dive bombs are sick, the pups are fire, the guitar overall is nice and light. Was it worth the price? Kind of. The price point is high if these guitars are coming out of the factory needing immediate fret work. Would I recommend someone get this guitar? Yes. After the fret work was done and a nice set up, this guitar is a dream. Definitely a keeper.
Sound
Awesome sound. The pickups are a great combo. Sounds good through just about any amp. Nice clean, killer chugs when the gain is up.
Features
Light body, guitar looks great, the Floyd rose bridge is comfortable.
Ease of Use
Plug it into any amp and you can make it sound good, honestly. Nazgul/Sentient pair up is killer.
Quality
Here’s where I ran into a bit of a problem. The fret work on the guitar was pretty awful. Very sharp frets out of the factory. A little bit of TLC and the guitar is great.
Value
The value isn’t too bad for what you get spec wise, but there could be better quality control.
Manufacturer Support
Didn’t contact Jackson about the fret issues, just took it to my local music shop.
The Wow Factor
Awesome guitar overall. Sounds great for any genre, really. I mostly play death metal, so it’s perfect for me.

This guitar feels and sounds awesome...right out of the box. The action was perfect. I set it up for drop A tuning, and only had to make minor adjustments after that. The guitar plays like butter!!
