I'll keep this one until I hand it down or it's burried with me. I have also purchased the Ibanez RG1570 w/Prestiege neck. I may replace the pups w/EMGs and the trem w/FR. I was on the fence between this and a ESP MII. I chose the Ibanez based on the build (NT), the binding, the fret inlays and the stock pups. If it were lost or stolen I would cry. I love the craftsmenship put into this thing; IT IS FLAWLESS. The thing I like least is the Ibanez trem, only because I have no previous experience with it.
Sound
Only reson I give a 9 is because I'd rather have EMGs. Other than that the sound is dead on for any type of rock/metal or blues.
Features
No accessories here; a case thrown in would have been nice for the cost, but oh well. You have the basic - 1 volume & 1 tone w/5 way selecter; I like it simple. Never had this trem before; I'd rather bend, but it satys in tune when you pull & dive bomb with it.
Quality
OUTSTANDING!!! MIJ Ibanez Prestiege are great and they are every bit as good, if not better, compared to those big U.S. mfg's guitars; I know because I've had Fender and I own a Gibson. DO NOT let the MIJ turn you away, you'll only miss out on a GREAT product!!
Value
The RGT3020 is worth the selling price and it's twicw the value if you can grab one on sale like I did.
Manufacturer Support
Have not dealt with them, but if it's as good as their product I give them a 10.
The Wow Factor
She is a 10 all the way with sex appeal to spare. The flame top, neck through and binding are what sold me. I'll reply later on the trem once I've spent some time with it. Every Ibanez fan's opinion I've read on this trem tells me it's as good as a FR. We'll see.
