The Ibanez AEG10NE feels and looks great. With Ibanez quality construction, the AEG10NE classical guitar sounds good, too.

I love the guitar its a great guitar. I like it just how it is, you cant really inprove on it. Its really a fine instument.
Sound
I tried a lot of Classical Guitars before selecting this one. The sound of many of the others were dull and or lifeless. This Guitar sounded brite and alive. Each note rang out and had a crisp yet classical tone. When plugged in it sounded great the Piezo pickup was able to really dial in different tones from highs to nice clear lows.I was truly impressed because I played more exspesive one and this was in some cases superior.
Features
The electronics were very good, and it had a built in tuner.
Ease of Use
Sound and playability was EXCELLENT. some of the other more exspesive guitars did not paly as nice as this one. I love the narrower neck at the top by the Nut. It made playing some songs alot easier. It had a regular steel string action on a Calssical guitar. NICE.
Quality
Looks beautiful and very well made, the attion to detail is that of more wxspesive buitars, it has binding inlays and beautifully sculptured tuners. Looks more exspensive than the price it costs. I own other Ibanez products this is no exception SUPERB! Its a Trifecta, Sound, Looks,Quality!
Value
This guitar is worth more than I paid for it, its really a great value for the price. Ibanez made a guitar you can be proud of and one that you want to keep in your collection.

The Wow Factor
the "Sex appeal" is a 10. Its very well made, and the detail work shows it has some character and class. The cutaway body gives this classical guitar a sleek look that adds to its style and quality look.

"Finally hit the nail on the head big time with this one!"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Laready have Sonar purchased so we are ready to start putting this puppy to work!!! I will pass this on to my son when he is old enough and appreciative enough no question that it is a keeper.
Sound
Unplugged this sounds a bit thin but very nice. This should be expected though (thin) since the body is narrow and the focus is in it being Acoustic Electric and not just acoustic. When plugged in...WOW!!! My wife said I could not stop smiling when I was playing this. It has a soft approach with great sustain. The sound is steady and just beautiful (I've used this word twice now, exceeding my annual alotment here!). I love it and the price is well below market for the sound and the features.
Features
The EQ actually is obvious in its manipulation of the sound. All functions working great and the tuner being onboard is an added bonus for me. Its short and sweet and to the point. Out of tune or in tune no crazy pitch alterations through the length of sustain. The Stock EXP strings help with this steady sustain I'm sure. Great match-up and unlike soem other folks on here I would stay with the stock strings. These were what was on the guitar when it grabbed my ears hard!
Ease of Use
It plays best for me with a soft touch because any rougher and I get some fret buzz due to the low action set-up on it ( I have a heavy thumb on the down stroke and grab a bit too much string). In other words I feel this is a sensitive guitar. I'm letting it sit out of the case for a day or two in my Houston climitized house before making any calls on getting something done about it. It didn't really seem to do this noticeably in the store but I was too busy smiling from ear to ear to probably know any different. This plays sweet.
Quality
This is staying in the case period. It is only going to be out when I'm playing. The looks demand this kind of treatment to me. It is a handsome guitar with looks and workmanship of something costing twice as much easy. It also comes with a nice set of strap knobs for a forgot to mention feature. Fit and finish are second to none I've seen.
Value
Could cost more and still be a great purchase. (Leave it alone though!!!! We need more equipment with this low price high quality thing!
Manufacturer Support
No issues yet. Will deal with the dealer if the fret buzz is really an issue.
The Wow Factor
The looks really are eye catching especially once the price is revealed. The trim, the woods the nice little touches. It all adds up to one solid, nice looking guitar. For the womans eye my wife though it was a really beautiful guitar...not cute but beautiful!!! (these do not count agains me, they are her use of the word)

"This Winner Offers More for Less"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars

This is one of my favorite the guitars (I have 5). I tried an Alvarez RC20SC acoustic/electric nylon string, but did not like the neck, and the controls were not as flexible.
Sound
Unamped sound volume is "medium" - about what one would expect for a body of this modest thickness. A credible instrument unamped, but do not expect to play to an arena in Madrid without sonic reinforcement. Unamped tone is rich and pleasant, but not brilliant, as is typical of nylon strings. The electric output from the Fishman under-saddle piezo ribbon pickup is well balanced string-to-string. Feedback and wolftones are not a problem.
Features
The Fishman piezo and preamp are top quality, and very flexible. In addition to separate volume knob, treble, mid, and bass sliders, the "shape" slider provides a widely adjustable audio-response contour. Has both mic (3-pin) and 1/4" output jacks.
Quality
Fret edges are rough. Rough workmanship visible inside the soundhole. Definitely not up to the high standard of the exterior finish. Even so, and more importantly, the tuning machines are well made and smooth to operate with their oversized knobs and spindles. The factory action was, as is typical of all new guitars, way too high (handful of spaghetti). I lowered both the nut notches and the saddle height considerably. Now the action is low and fast, with no string rattle.
Value
This Fishman piezo/preamp system sells for over $200 alone. That makes the guitar itself almost free. Don't tell anyone: This instrument should sell for a >lot< more.
Manufacturer Support
No problems at all.
The Wow Factor
The tangerine color is visually stunning without being glitzy. The exterior finish, front and back, is A-1 quality. Beautiful woods used and quality inlays on headstock and around soundhole. Nice binding on neck and bridge. A nylon string guitar is a truly satisfying instrument for a guitarist - of any musical persuasion - to own and play. Treat yourself to this one.

"What can I say but "AWESOME" "BEAUTIFUL" and the "BEST"!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)

In my case, I do not need anything else and I have replaced one that was stolen so I have actually bought three. I have also tried other nylon stringed guitars in between but have ended up selling or giving them away.
Sound
Plugged in the sound is awesome! Unplugged is very good. I only use it this way for practice. I play church gospel on the platform with other instruments and the Ibanez AEG10NE classical comes through loud and clear.
Features
All the features including sturdy good looking strap buttons are useful. I find the on board tuner and the phase switch to control feedback the most useful in my case.
Ease of Use
This guitar is extremely easy to play and the slider EQ controls makes it quick and easy to achieve the sound you want or need.
Quality
I have one in Panama at out mission church where there is no air conditioning and lots of rain with 90 degree temperature and many times close to 90% humidity. I also have one here in California that is always being transported in either a very hot car or very cold and neither of the guitars appear to be affected by these extremes.
Value
I believe the price cannot be beat!
Manufacturer Support
Never had any reason to.
The Wow Factor
I have the tangerine which is very eye catching and appealing with it's luster and color contrast and finish. I also have the flat black which is very attractive in it's own way and and doesn't show marks and fingerprints. I feel both are quite stunning!

"Great guitar to start playing again"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

I've bought this guitar as "blemished", and after a couple of weeks I still need to figure out what's exactly the blemish: so far it's a great buy. I had specifically looked for this model after trying it out at my friend's. I used to play guitar when I was young, and this model, with nylon strings but narrower neck than a classic classic-guitar, semi-electric and with the tuner built in, it's the perfect place to start. The sound is sweet, the cutuway shape and overall dimension very comfortable.

"A really great sounding, good looking, versatile guitar."

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
I won't be parting with this guitar. It just begs you to pick it up and play and play and play. I use it as my main gigging guitar for solo singer sonwriter stuff, open mic nights and it always attracts attention and praise especially as everyone exepcts it to sound like a nylon classical, which of course it will if you leave the stock strings on. I might even buy a second one in the tangerine finish and leave the nylon strings on it. It's only just over 200 quid after all.
Sound
This guitar sounded great with the stock nylon strings however I have changed these for a set of Martin Silk and Steel. These are low tension steel core strings i.e. plain steel on the top E,B,G & steel core with silk fibre windings and nickle cover windings on the bottom D,A, and E. I wanted a wider neck small bodied steel string guitar without having to pay a fortune and this is just the job. It sounds bright unplugged, with loads of sustain and really wonderfull when amped up. The neck has a truss rod so the guitar will take the strain of these low tension steel strings.
Features
Great pre amp that gives a very broad range of tonal options. The shape control allows you to simultaneously boost or cut the bass, mid and treble EQ's at the settings they are at. It works a bit like a loudness control giving you a fatter sound without much apparent jump in volume. The guitar is lovely to look at, I have the black version, and just fits nicely into your body when playing. Nice wide neck for finger style work but not as wide as a classical and not as flat a radious. Ideal.
Ease of Use
What can I say, its' a guitar. The action was a little on the high side and got higher when i fitted the silk and steel strings. However a tad shaved of the bridge saddle and a few tweeks of the truss rod and hey presto, a nice low action which is very playable even with bar chords high up on th neck. The Silk and Steel strings are soft so they help in this department and have a feel only slightly harder than nylon. If there is one weakness it's the tuner. It's very vague and will show the green in-tune light over too wide a tolerance. It's the same issue with my daughters Ibanez accoustic.
Quality
Extremely good finish. No flaws on mine at all and I ordered it on-line. It has the look and feel of a much more expensive guitar. The body purfling, neck binding and abalone rosette are beautifully fitted.
Value
Great value if you re looking for a quality alternative to a traditional classical guitar and if you do what I have done and fit Silk and Steel strings you get a great fingerstyle guitar with a wider neck than a standard accoustic. Normally you'd have to look at very exepnsive Martins and Taylors or custom jobs to get this as an option.
Manufacturer Support
I've not really had to deal with them as yet.
The Wow Factor
It's very desireable and a real players instrument. Not for thrashing out big chords but for subtle fingerstyle playing it really excells and has a great voice.

"Well worth the cost...a very very good budget AE Classical Guitar."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
If this one wears out then I'm going to forego the electric part of it and get a true classical guitar...no fault of this one though...it's a good instrument.
Sound
It sounds pretty good for a budget classical AE guitar. Better than I expected.
Features
the feature were fine...what I expected.
Quality
This guitar was a very good buy for the money I paid (300.00) with only a few minor things wrong. The things that were wrong are things that are hard to get away from in sub 1000.00 instruments so I don't fault Ibanez too much here. The fret ends were ragged but a few minutes with a fine triangle file fixed that. The nut was mother of plastic and looked horrible...8.00 and about 2 hours work fixed that. The action was high, and sanding down the underside of the bridge fixed that. Again, these are all things that are typical of budget guitars, and not a huge ding on Ibanez as a company. Other than that..the guitar plays great, sounds pretty good for what it is, and seems well constructed.
Value
I'd say that it would be hard to top this guitar for the price.
