"Best in it's class"
I expect this will become my first pick at jam sessions in the future. I'll ever let the Gibson's go, but the first guitar in my line up is now this great sounding very versatile guitar.
Sound
I have a Gibson Les Paul, a Gibson SG Standard, a Epi Sheraton II, and now after many years of really not liking Fender guitars, I've found one I love.
This is the most versatile guitar i have in my electric guitar collection.
Features
The S1 button is great, I've really enjoyed exploring the fast variety of sounds I can get through the guitar with this added feature It kept me busy for hours every-time I pick it up
Ease of Use
It plays very much like my SG, the Les Paul is a little easier to play, and the Les Paul also has a great tone. But this plays great and exploring the guitar is simple.
Quality
The finish on my Sienna Sunburst is perfect. It looks clean as any guitar I've seen in its price range and over.
Value
For the money in my opinion it really is the best buy out there. I might have gone with the Deluxe, if I hadn't seen the Sienna Sunburst first.
The Wow Factor
The guitar is just beautiful, as I mentioned I would have bought the American Deluxe if I hadn't seen mine first.

"Well worth it but be aware these are Tex Mex pickups, and if you really want a 3 single coil Strat to complement your Les Paul,"

I am returning it. Just does not fit in my "arsenal", but if you need one guitar that is very versatile, this may be right for you
Sound
2 Tex mex pickups single coils. Same as Jimmie Vaughn strat. Won't sound the same as your American Series SSS. Adds variety but not a one axe does all either.Humbucker adds versatility, but again this is not a Duncan Screamin Demon or even a JB. I would suggest a rosewood neck for this HSS config. My maple neck neck with the Humbecker is a bit too bright sounding.
Features
Non- locking strap locks. Single black pickguard on the Butterscotch Blond axe I have. Maybe Fender wants to recreate the Vintage Vibe, but please not on MY modern Humbucker equipped Am Series strat. Would have preferred standard appointments.
Quality
They all differ. Mine had good set up. 9s are too light for me though. Three piece Alder match could have been better for this price point.
Value
Well worth it but be aware it is Tex Mex pickup, some colors uses unexpected hardware(see above) and if you really want a 3 single coil Strat to complement your Les Paul, get an SSS not HSS- They are different animal soundwise.
Manufacturer Support
Fine for previous interactions, just go through your dealer.
The Wow Factor
You will love the S1 switch. Great comfortable neck.

Fender American HSS Strat Customer Review

Sound
For Live Sound, this is the flagship of my Guitar Collection. To me I have never played a more comfortable, versitle, or better sounding guitar. I replaced the Tex/Mex single coil pickups in this guitar with Texas Specials, and the sound is unbeatable in my book. I play a style of country music that is mixed with a little blues, and a lot of rock, so being able to switch from single coils to humbuckers at a push of a button is extremly handy.
Features
I believe that the features on this guitar are unbeatable. I use a lot of tremelo, and the tremelo system on this guitar is great. It stays in tune, and the saddles don't tear up the strings like other guitars that i have played. The neck fits my hand perfect, and allows me to play up and down the neck with extrordinary ease.
Ease of Use
Like previously mentioned, this guitar almost plays itself live, and it doesn't really require much learning. You can mess around with it for five minutes, and pretty much play it as good as anyone.
Quality
For a Fender, this guitar has the best quality. I have had it two years now, and have yet to break anything.
Value
This guitar is well worth the money. Don't buy a cheaper guitar and sacrifice quality. If you like to mix different sounds, buy this, you won't regret it.
Manufacturer Support
I have not had to deal with fender on it, because it is just a good guitar.
The Wow Factor
My HSS is chrome blue with a black pickguard. I have gotten more compliments on my guitar than my face.
