"American strat at Mexican prices"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This review has been selected by our experts as particularly helpful.
I do not plan on replacing this product ever. It was built to last a lifetime and that's just how long I'm going to use it. The only other guitars that I would like to buy in the future are an acoustic, as no electric can imitate it, and a guitar with double humbucking pick-ups, but it will definitely be another strat.
Sound
The sound is amazing, rock, classic rock, punk, and blues all sound great. I've even played it with a folk group and the clean tone kept up with the acoustics. However, the pickups are not quite powerful enough for zeppelin, metallica, that type of stuff. I tried a higher level american stratbefore buying this one, but the highway 1 was far better.
Features
I got two whammy bars with the guitar. It came with a gig bag, but I upgraded to a hard case. The hard case is WELL WORTH IT. Upgrading to lacking strap is another must.
Ease of Use
The guitar has great string action. The maple neck improves the string action a lot, but sacrifices a little sustain. The knobs and pick-up selector caneasily be manipulated by the pinky, very useful when performing, specially when playing lead. The tuners are sensitive, but they don't drift much and don't buzz at all.
Quality
The product is really well made. I've never had a problem with any of it. The only problem is that the satin finish scratches easy. But this quality is worth the tone it creates.
Value
This an amazing value. The tone surpassed any higher-priced fender I've ever played
Manufacturer Support
I've never had any trouble, so I can't really say anything about support
The Wow Factor
Everything important about this guitar is unsurpassable. The tone is amazing; the comfort and ease of playing is amazing; the strat body design and headstock looks cooler than the tele, the sg, the les paul, or the flying v. The transparent finish shows off the wood's grain.

"Exeptional guitar"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This guitar is amazing, from finsih to the original contour body, its all Very very good
Sound
the pick ups inn this guitar are awesome
Features
First im gonna start wit the finish. This finish is so awesome in sunburst. It really looks like a 54 strat. I love the satin finish. the only downside to this is that is so friggin thin. Other than that, its awesome. The tuning stability is amazing. I sat down for literally 10 min. and tried to make this go out of tune with my whammy bar, but it didnt. It hasnt gone outta tune once!
Quality
You can feel the quality in this one. Just how the neck plays, whew, its aming. Excellent quality here.
Value
this is an excellent value for an american strat, i think that fender is losing so much money out these guitars. They are so cheap. I reccomend this to any one, regarless of age or skill.
Manufacturer Support
never had to deal wit em, ive only had this baby for 4 days
The Wow Factor
If i lost this or if it would be stolen, i would sob like a baby. I love it.

"Wonderful fender."

This will be with me in my grave.
Sound
I own two other guitars - the Vintage Ibanez Les Paul and the new Line 6 Variax 500 series and nothing beats this wonderful Fender Highway!! The single coil may sound sucks to some of u as it is to me.. i changed the pickups to Seymour duncan single coil sized humbucker Lil'59 on the bridge and Duckbuckers on the middle and neck. Boom!! u'll gonna experienced the unique sound! That's the magic of the lacquer finish on the body.. the lesser the paint on the body, the better sound it produced! so don't believe those who says that this fender is the lowest end. this fender rocks!!!
Features
What else to say here? wonderful guitar need not be said anything but go and experience it!
Quality
it's a bit durable. do take extra care. get a hardcase.
Value
Wonderful guitar at a wonderful price.
Manufacturer Support

The Wow Factor

I plan to keep this guitar for a long time. As of now I have this, a Les Paul and a custom made Washburn & I have no intentions of searching for any other guitars. To me, these fill my every need when it comes to my tone.
Sound
I'm into the vintage & blues sound and I gotta say this strat nails it down! Nice vibe and feels like an ax thats been around for awhile. The tone is 100% vintage strat-there's no mistaking it. I've had it for about a year now & it is now my main guitar. Truely a joy to play. This baby will be with me for many years to come.
Features
It's a strat. 3 singles, 1 volume 2 tone & 5-way switch.
Quality
ok to be fair I have to knock a few points here. It seems well built(neck is straight, joint is tight, etc.etc..) but the finish is paper thin & is scratched easily. So, take care not to thrash it around too much. Also, seems a little plain-jane what with the plain white pickguard & such. I know thats what keeps the cost down, just my opinion.
Value
For a USA made Fender the price simply cannot be beat.
Manufacturer Support
