I’ve been playing guitar for 15+ yrs and even though I always wanted one I never was able to get a Fender Strat due to random circumstances. It wasn’t until just a few days ago that I was finally able to obtain the guitar I always wanted, a Tobacco Sunburst Fender Stratocaster. I decided to go for the HSS version because I love the classic sound of a Strat from the single coil pups but I also play a lot of harder Rock and Metal so I figured it best to have a humbucker especially since I planned on the Strat being my main guitar for a very long time and the HSS takes what is already one of the most versatile guitars ever and makes it capable of even more. The guitar (which I purchased here from zZounds) arrived 2 days ago and out of the box it was in impeccable condition. Not a single mark on the neck or body. The guitar was set up decent as well and once I adjusted the truss rod a little, took of the 9s, oiled the Pau Ferro fretboard (which is lovely by the way) with lemon oil conditioner, put on D’addario 10-46s, and tightened the trem springs to lower the bridge down closer to the body the guitar is now flawless. I have never played a guitar that feels so perfect and sounds so amazing. There are literally no cons about this guitar. It is my favorite of my collection already and I plan to play this until the day I die. The only thing wrong with these new Player Strats is that Fender chose for some lame reason not to include a soft case which I think should absolutely have been made available for a Mexican made Strat for nearly $700. Anyone considering one of these Fender Player Strats needs to stop reading reviews like I did to make sure I was making the right choice and just buy one of these now! You will be so thankful when you do! I can’t thank zZounds enough for sending me this guitar in fabulous condition and finally allowing me to own such an incredible historic guitar. I am forever grateful!

With the Player Series, it essentially a classic player strat with smaller radius, different pickups, and modern tuners.
Sound
The pickups used are very well balanced and the first time I do not want to change the entire set. The humbucker was hard to get used to so I changed it to 2 single coils and a Dimarzio single coil humbucker. This was personal choice and no way reflection on the stock humbucker.
Features
Love the stability of the two point bridge.
Quality
Excellent quality through and through.
Value
Best bang for your buck and definitely holds its own against more expensive models.
