"ESP Flying V a marvelous guitar."

I was seeking a step up from the rock-bottom guitars. Also I was tired of the same old Strat body-style. This Flying V is a great guitar. I'm not much of a specs guy, but the guitar is of quality manufacture. It sounds great and squeals and hollers in all the right places. The included user's manual offers a treasure trove of information related to the guitar. Both novice and experienced axemen will find this a great guitar.

Musical Background:

Played off and on for five years, mostly jamming at home.

Musical Style:

I'm a fan of hard rock, though at some point I'd like to learn shredding.

If you are looking for an axe to shred with, at an affordable price, this guitar could be for you. Great tone and sustain, sounds great through my Orange amp. One caveat though, it is Big, there is a lot of neck to play with. If you are a little smaller than average it could be difficult to play. Comes with Cleartone strings which I Like. I installed EMG active pups and it really came alive. All in all, a good entry level shredder at a good price.

"cheap 'n chunky"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Not much pot in your pots? This'll cream up your chunk and leave some change in your pocket too. Lot's of squealing and lovely intonation. Compared to guitars 10x as expensive this baby really rocks out. Play it like a sitar for those quieter ethnic moments a la Satch or o Alex (c.o.b.)
