Eminence Delta 15LF Speaker (500 Watts, 15")

The Delta 15LF speaker's high Xmax -- maximum linear excursion -- means the woofer moves farther, delivering more bark for a beefier, more satisfying sound.

I put one of these Eminence Delta 15LFA speakers in a 1974 Fender Bassman 2x15 cabinet, along with a JBL M115-8A. I ordered the 15LF, but received the 15LFA. The Eminence driver is heavy, well-built in the U.S.A. and has a fat, powerful low end for bass guitar. Some say my cab is a dog. Not so, Loud and Full! Awesome! Get One!

Musical Background:

I play bass, guitar and trombone. Mostly at home these days. I've been paid to play now and then over the 40 years I've been in.

Musical Style:

Rock, reggae, blues, pop and country. Stones covers.

"Decent but shy of scorpions"

I got these woofers in my 2 way cabs and they are pretty good. But I must say having a 2 and1/2 " voice coil and a 56ounce magnet lacks that real thunder punch you get beginning with a peavey scorpion. Not bad, though. But for the same price almost it's worth the peavey or comparable. Look for a 3" coil and min 70 ounce magnet for dJ work, where the dance floor needs to pump after 11 pm. Still, these speakers are decent, just not the bottom punch you may wish in a small venue. 15" vocal Monitors are best for these.

Musical Style:

Professional guitar and dJ and studio engineer.
