I made a 4 x 8 angled cab, and filled it with these, and compared to what I have in my 4 x 10 (Jensons "vintagey" cermamic.) and my 4 x 12 (stock 1960A Marshall which has Celestion seventy-80s I think.) These are my favorite. These 820h speakers have the best, and most natural sound for the CLEAN if anything I have. They have a clean sound that sounds super, super, nice at a pracrical volume and that is what I feel these should be known for. They sound equally good with Fender single coil and with Gibson humbuckers alike. I'm a clean only person. (I feel like an alien.) And can only remark on that really. But so good.I've mostly been running them mostly with my Marshall DSL100. Though it sounds the best on my Fender Bassman 100T. (I have to rewire it for ohmage each time. Need to add jumpers...) Through my Orange Micro Terror Dark these little speakers sounds rather great-good but a little muffled-ey like -Ish. But totally worth it. I'm also happy with the sound of them through my XXL solid state. If it's helpful to know what I have tested them on.These have a way with words compared to my current other speakers. Rather excellent expressiveness that is just hard to explain. Its my benchmark to be how I want my other cabs to respond. I would most assuredly recommend a person make a 4x8 with these.I'm not sure why they aren't a staple speaker in thier own right. For quality 4x sound at practice volumes. These ARE a no-brainer. Hope this helps.

Wasn't really sure what to expect from this speaker. I have a cannibas Rex, and liked that. I have a bugera v5, newer version, with turbo sound speaker. The turbo sound speaker sounds good, but still have this v5 that "boxy" sound that's synonymous with the v5. Enter the 820h. Smooth in the highs, good full lows... Didn't say great, but definitely good. Mids are smooth as well, even brought to the front a lil. I read where this speaker performs closer to the size of a 10" speaker. That's hard to understand, by reading that. I will explain it this way. The sound coming out of this speaker absolutely fills the room more than the stock speaker. It's noticeable, right away. Just a bigger, Fuller sounds. Water thru a straw vs water thru a garden hose. Very good lil speaker.

Musical Background:

27 years guitar. Play for church.

Musical Style:

Blues, worship, rockabilly.

I just purchased this driver to go in to a custom built (not by me!) cabinet. I also purchased a Celestion Eight 15. This 820h is in a completely different class than the Celestion. There is surprisingly deep amount of low end grunt from the 8" driver. The mids and highs are fantastic too. This is a tremendous speaker. Best in class that I have heard.

Musical Background:

Playing over 40 years. I played semi-professionally for a short time but my audience is now comprised of my two cats.
