I love the guitar, I've been getting positive comments on the tone and looks; I'll still use my other guitar from time-to-time, but this is definitely my new #1 for awhile! I will eventually make a few upgrades and customizations, like pickups and accessories. Great guitar for metal or rock.
Sound
I play in a thrash/death metal band, and the Dean Timecapsule pickups have clarity and descent tone, but a little thin & need a little bottom end boosting; I suggest an EQ or compressor pedal. I was playing a Schecter S-1 Elite before this, and that axe has a very beefy tone;
I'm eventually going to get a pickup upgrade on the Dean.
Features
I would have preferred to own the black or silver/gray models, but the dark cherry was the only one available at the time; but I don't regret buying it at all. The body is amazing, very light and comfortable to handle, but if you're looking for a beefy, weighty axe this is not for you. It came with a custom-fit Hardshell case that has an accessory compartment inside. All the hardware is great, from the tuning pegs, to the bridge and V plate. There's only one volume knob; it kinda threw me off at first, but I got used to it quickly.
Ease of Use
Ive run it through Marshall DSL & TSL half-stacks, a Crate blue Voodoo 120w head with a Behringer cab, and a Fender 100w combo, and got great tones with all. Like I said earlier, you might need to beef the tone up a bit with a separate EQ, but overall the tone is clear, has nice bite and a descent low chunk. Action is low, I play metal and I get around the neck with ease, and the bridge feels great with my chops.
Quality
Looks great, feels great! you can see the wood grain in the body very nicely with the Dark Cherry model, and the silver hardware looks awesome with it. I've had it for about 2 weeks and have loved every minute of it! I can't see any part or piece breaking anytime soon, it's constructed pretty well; and I can't wait to start playing shows with it!
Value
Definitely the lowest price I've seen. I stated earlier that I'd rather have the black or silver one, but I still love the guitar, and will have it customized sometime in the future.

ZZounds.com is amazing! I ordered the guitar on the phone, wanted to setup the payment/installment plan and the guy was very clear and answered any questions I had. I ordered it on a Saturday, they shipped it on Monday and it came the next day! I didn't think I was gonn abe able to play it for a week; im glad I was wrong!
The Wow Factor
One of the most killer guitar designs I've ever seen; everyone tells me "It looks like something outta the 80's!", and when I tell them the design's roughly a few years old, theyre shocked. Ever since I saw the first photos, I fell in love with the model.

I am strictly going for a guitar stack now- period. I think I have an axe that fits everything I have been looking for as far as playability and personality. I am keeping this body style for life as long as they make 'em.. hopefully, this guitar will last a lifetime if I don't destroy it in a moment of passion!
Sound
I give this guitar an 8 on sound because I am not real crazy about the time capsule being used as a bridge pickup; however, it isn't all bad. The neck pickup actually carries more bass than the bridge and is excellent for soloing. The clean tone on all pickups is excellent; and the guitar has excellent clarity and is perfect for classic rock duty. It lacks a little A## for metal, though. I have only played this through a solid state amp (crate 120 rfx). I would like to hear it through a tube amp before I make a final judgement. The tonal quality of the wood is excellent, i love the overall sound of this guitar!
Features
The hardshell case is second to none; A I do wish it came with some kind of manual, though. I would like some overall information on this guitar. I like the single tone and volume knobs. The three way pickup switch is cool; it is kinda spring loaded. The tuners are an A.. The weight of this guitar is extremely light, but I love it cause it sounds really good and it won't break your back. I absolutely wish the make and model of this guitar was printed somewhere on the headstock.
Ease of Use
The neck, action, and playability of this guitar is fun and easy. I would swap out the bridge pickup for a Super Distortion. The overall tone and sound of this guitar is awesome. When I do string bends on this thing, you can really dig in and put yourself into it. Soulful and expressive.
Quality
Excellent made guitar- absolutely zero complaints with it. it is absolutely cartoony huge and in your face and I love it! I think this is the coolest Rock guitar style I have ever seen. I Do not think this thing will break. It takes some getting used to the mammoth size of the thing- you will beat it off of furniture etc. if you aren't careful. I love my Epi EM2 Custom for metal work, but if I go on stage soon(which I will), I want this guitar to be seen and heard first and foremost. It is the rock and roll dream. The paint job in cherry red is awesome@!
Value
This guitar is an exceptional value, especially with the hardshell case. I don't think you could find a case like this without having to shop around- very convenient. Ready to play guitar. no modifications necessary. Great deal- the best body style around- go get one.

The Wow Factor
I think this guitar IS Rock and Roll excess. I dare anyone not to marvel at this horned beast and think- where in heck did he find that thing? I already have all of my guitar snob friends jealous and I know chicks are going to dig the legs on this one too.
