Bought this from zZounds about a year ago to power my bass guitar rig. Using an Eden preamp DI pedal, into this crown power amp, Bridged mode, 1100 watts @ 4 ohms, into my Ampeg SVT HLF 410. Also hooked up in stereo to see how it would power 2 svt cabs. Sounds great either way! This amp is a beast! Love this amp! Haven't had one problem with it. Can't beat the price either!

So…. I needed to replace my Crown DC300A which lost a channel after 40 years of fine service. Driving a pair of Big Reds which used to be an industry standard for mixing playback speakers(I now use a pair of Mackie HR824s). Hooked this up in 5 minutes. Bare speaker wire into posts, Crown IC150 preamp output to the phone jack inputs and AC power cable.This amp is powerful, loud, and the fidelity is fantastic! Punchy tight bass, airy highs, and a mid range that’s smooth. I’m using it for entertainment audiophile purposes to play back recordings made in my project studio but if you needed it to drive a bass or keyboard rig or as a PA amp I’m sure it performs just as admirably. Weighs only 9 pounds so if you have to travel with it no problem. Reliability? Most Crowns only break after 40 years so this amp will probably outlive me! Many in/out options and I haven’t even pushed the menu button but there are numerous adjustment options available. Replaced my old amp with ease and far better sound (and the DC300A was great) for 1/4 of the weight. zZounds is amazing! Got this item in one day and Play as you Pay made it affordable for me. If you’re not thrilled with this power amp you need a hearing test.

I ordered this for my Bass rig. Once I hooked it up and played on it I knew I made the right decision. My rig shakes the house and the Highs shatters ears. If you are looking for pure power and in a small space this is the unit for you.

Our church bought this amp to replace a old Peavey that had a noisy cooling fan that kicked in at all the wrong times. This Crown amp is powerful, light weight and quiet. what else could you want?
