I was able to compare the Spruce and Cedar top Clarita's side by side. Both sounded great. The cedar had a very warm sound, but I ended up buying the spruce due to the bright sound and volume (especially considering that this was a new guitar). Bought it a month ago and just recently changed the strings for the first time. Looking forward to how it breaks in and how it sounds with some Savarez strings. The harmonic capability is also very good, even down to the lower frets you can still get nice volume out of each.

This guitar has a great tone that will only get better as the spruce ages. I found the truss rod a useful part of the design. The quality of craftsmanship is excellent. The guitar can access overtones right out of the box. It may not have all the fancy appearance options that some instruments have even in lower price ranges but the sound far exceeds the eye candy.
