"NOX404 is a stellar mixer for the price"

After searching for a more professional analog mixer with its strengths focused on mixing (instead of scratching) that also wouldn't break the bank, I came across a video review of the NOX404. I'm not one to be easily sold by just one video, but this thing had it all! Customizable curve setting for the x-fader AND line faders. True kill EQs. Optical, adjustable tension x-fader. Controllable tap-tempo effects. Headphone cue & master toggle. AND under $300... SOLD! The real test came when it finally arrived (which was only 3 days after purchase with standard ground). It definitely lived up to my expectations and then some. Some people may not feel the construction is up to "pro" standards, this thing feels solid, though i will say the faders do feel a bit flimsy as other people mentioned in reviews. I'm not doing battle scratching and stuff like that, so the quality is just fine for my needs. My only knock is that the LED line level meters are only linked to the master output, not switchable to cue mode, so i just have to judge cue levels by ear. Sound quality is also good; definitely clean, with the option to turn manually over-ride the EQs for a direct output sound. So all in all, SUPER happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone looking to make a step up from entry/mid-level Numark or even Vastex mixers...especially for what you get for the price.

As long as the faders work, this will be my mixer.
Sound
The sound of this product is what you would expect of a analog mixer, but it sounds great. I went from a vestax mixer and the sound is on par with it. Works as expected.
Features
I gave it a 10 as far as features because it really is a all in one mixer. Sound effects, full kill switches, individually assigned cross fader curves, infinium vca no contact cross fader should last quite awhile, usb on board sound card, it has it all.
Ease of Use
If you know how to use a mixer, then you need no explanation. It's that simple.
Quality
When compared to a Pioneer or Allen and Heath mixer you do notice the difference in build quality, but its pretty solid.
Value
The features, the price, it is well worth it.
Manufacturer Support
Have not had any issues.
The Wow Factor
Very nice looking and great performing mixer.

This mixer was WAY better than I expected. I'd heard a lot of bad things about Behringer, but decided to give the NOX404 a try after seeing SO many positive reviews about the product and I'm glad I did. It has 2 channels PLUS a seperate aux in/out channel. so technically it has 3 channels, you just can't eq the aux channel. The effects loop option is a really nice option especially on a mixer that you don't get on any mixer in it's price range. Not the Numark x6, DN-X120, and I don't htink the Xone:22 has it either. The built in FX are VERY nice and work really well. The Infinum Cross-Fader is REALLY smooth(AND adjustable)... I honestly could go on for DAYS about it. Imagine a Numark X6 with way more options: FX Loop FX Cue(for hearing the FX before you apply them Channel specific crossfader slope adjust Channel fader slope adjust Aux in/out USB in/out XLR master out Infinum no-contact crossfader the list honestly goes on and on and on lol Honestly, the only thing that oculd have made this any better for me personally would be if it was a midi mixer as well....but then again, that'd probably be TOO good to be true. And actually, this mixer is pretty close to "too good to be true". I didn't wanna believe the hype when I heard it online, but honestly, if you're looking to get a mixer and you don't need a midi mixer, and all you need is a 2 channel mixer.....THIS is the one to get. the x6 is $20 more, and has less feature.

Purchased this mixer because of the great reviews. Used it for one practice DJ session and the FX button stopped lighting up. Also the FX leave little to be desired for me. Yes there are quite a few FX but I really only use a couple and the couple I used didn't exactly work how I would've liked them to. Returned this mixer a couple days later.
