Bedell MB-17-G Orchestra Acoustic Guitar (with Gig Bag)
This Bedell acoustic guitar's orchestra body shape enhances its low end clarity and gives plenty of volume to the rich overtones its solid cedar top creates.

what a wonderful guitar at a great price. Got mine on 08/13/14, everything that it's advertised to be and more. The pictures on the site don't do it justice it is gorgeous , what's more is the sound is deep and rich. This is my first guitar with an ebony fingerboard, I love it. Playability is smooth and almost effortless. The factory setup was perfect , low with no fret buzz. Can't wait till it opens up, it should be really good then. Very loud for a small body guitar, in a good way. Thank You ZZounds for such a great deal on a wonderful guitar. I have been buying from you for years, and with products like this, at prices like these, I believe we will be doing business for years to come. Thank you very much E. Renkert

"Plenty of Bedell ads, if not reviews."

My first Bedell was the mahogany parlor, which I was lucky enough to play in a shop (it was the only model they had). If I hadn't played that, I wouldn't have any Bedell, as the brand isn't easy to come across, or even to find reviews on. If it vanished, I would absolutely replace it.
Sound
My first all-solid cedar and mahogany - the bass is robust, clear, really the starting and ending points; a quality that extends throughout the strings, imparting an underlying richness to even the high notes. One on one against its spruce/rosewood sibling, the 28, these qualities make the 17 less light on the ear, but then the 28 lacks its splendid depth. This is a loud guitar when finger-plucked, and with very little effort.
Quality
All of the frets extend a non-threatening fraction to either side. My MB28G's minor issue is two not quite perfectly smooth tuners. My Bedell parlor is perfect. An overall very solid guitar - neither airy light, nor weighty.
Value
For a Chinese built it is on the high side, but it is ju-st worth it.
The Wow Factor
The color of this particular cedar doesn't grab me. Bleh, but ok.
