zZounds Gear Experts Say...
Solid high gloss Sitka Spruce top. Rosewood pattern HPL back.
Overview
The DX1RGT represents the first gloss top offering in the affordable and hugely popular X Series. Each solid Sitka spruce top is finished to a high polished gloss, not only for aesthetics but for wear properties and surprisingly enhanced tonal response. Mini Style “28” fingerboard inlays executed in white Boltaron grace the fingerboard of black Micarta, a material that resembles ebony in appearance and durability. The back and sides are constructed with rosewood pattern high pressure laminate (HPL), and the Stratabond neck is carved with a sleek modified low oval neck shape for fast and easy playability.

"You've got to try this guitar!"
I will not search for a replacement. Would be hard to find for the value. May purchase another at some point.
Sound
Full Tone. Goes great with the all songs I play. Have to Takamines it is better than both. And I hold them in high regard. Picked this over a Taylor it was so similar in sound and ease to play. Price was much more reasonable as well.
I am very particular and expect a smooth full sound when playing.

Ease of Use
Sounds great plugged or not. I added a Humbucking pickup. I get compliments on the sound of this guitar every time i play.
Quality
Quality is awesome with one exception. The Martin logo is just some gold letters that somehow adhere to the wood and has started to come off. That really blows. But I can live with it.
Value
This product was well worth the price and I was surprised at the low price compared to the High quality of the sound and as well as the great look of this particular instrument.
