Solid Spruce top. Fishman¬ Stereo Onboard Blender.
Overview
This is an acoustic-electric version of the D16RGT model with the addition of a cutaway and Fishman Onboard Stereo Blender electronics. They feature the same solid construction and bracing. With the flick of a switch, the Blender offers TRS/stereo or mono signal paths for the system's under-saddle pickup and internal microphone. In addition, the Stereo Blender has a defeatable notch control.
Featuring solid woods throughout, this is a superb, cutaway acoustic, at an affordable price. With details like herringbone inlays, 2-piece back construction, scalloped (hybrid) bracing, and a Spruce top, it sounds as great as it looks. The DC16RGTE features solid Rosewood with white binding even on the fingerboard, and a satin finish. Both models include a hardshell case.

"Rave reviews for the Martin DC-16 RGTE"
I will probably pass this guitar down to my son one day. Hopefully, he will do the same. I expect the guitar to last several lifetimes if properly cared for. I bought it because I know Martins are quality made and have great sound. They were the guitars you dreamed of and lusted after in the days you started playing and could not afford one. As I grow older and wiser, I will probably upgrade to a higher priced model, but doubt seriously that I will sell this one.
Sound
I just purchased one recently because I could not get it out of my mind. It played every bit as well as my Taylor 810BCE. The sound was not as good but very nice for the money. I play contempory music and use a Crate 125D acoustic amp. I am going to replace my Taylor with the Martin for live performances but keep it for recording. Overall, the Martin DC-16 RGTE is a very nice guitar with excellant sound. LOW lows and bright trebles. Classic Martin sound.
Features
The fishman series electronics are top of the line. You should be able to dial in just the right setting for whatever you play.
Quality
Martin quality all the way. You get what you pay for with this company. Very reliable and would take it anywhere.
Manufacturer Support
Only contacted Martin about the warranty card missing from case when originally purchased. Never had a Martin that needed to go back to factory. I have… read more owned many before.
The Wow Factor
The playability of this instrument is fantastic! It is smooth as silk and the sound is incredible.
