575+575 watts RMS bi-amp bass amp head.
Overview
The ABM 900 EVO II is a 575+575 watts RMS bi-amp bass amp head designed to satisfy both bass-purists and tech-heads alike. Three straightforward rotary tone controls provide 20dB of cut and boost at 60Hz, 660Hz and 5kHz, and are supplemented by two pairs of additional sliders giving 15dB cut and boost at 180Hz, 340Hz, 1.3kHz and 2.6kHz. The EQ can be switched in/out, and flat/shaped by footswitch, enabling players to go from a flat fretless sound to a boosted sound via a favorite EQ setting. A single input is switchable for passive and active instruments with a blend of solid state and dual triode tube preamps stages which can be preset and selected by footswitch, providing access to a massive range of clean, warm and overdriven tones. Also footswitchable is the mighty Ashdown sub-harmonic generator which precisely tracks the main signal and reproduces it an octave lower. A sub-harmonic level control enables the player to add just the right amount of low-end reinforcement - everything from a subtle, thickening of the sound to unbridled, bone crushing tone. The ABM 900 EVO II features a front-panel mounted balanced DI out with pre or post EQ switching, a sub-bass output, a tuner output, an FX loop and a line input for the connection of an external sampler or sound source. Output muting cuts the signal from the DI output but leaves the tuner output 'live', allowing the player to tune up in silence. A new upgraded power section has faster transient attack, more headroom and even…

"Buy someones old , used beat up amp. not one of these."
1,hum 2, lousey flickering panal lamp 3, scratchy erratic pots 4,noisey fans 5, that are on all the time ? 6,had to wait 2 weeks to find a replacement fuse 7, jacks all over are of shoddy quality (at best) 8, considering its ashdowns "premium bass amp" they should go and learn again and do it right.
Sound
poor quality- real simple, plastic jacks that don't hold cords (they'll fall out from speaker jacks) Only wanted as a sub amp for home stereo center out amplifier. The power supply is poor on its filtering, I have a hum even with nothing attached and all levels cut down to no gain. Fans are on all the time and are noisy, and I wonder if the supply is up to it as the panal lamp flickers at a medium volume. I don't play guitar with it, But I wouldn't want to count on this thing to earn a living. I run 2 15 inch Wharfdale subs- 1 per channel. My Old KUSTOM K-250, makes this thing look sick !
Features
My flashlight owners manual has more information in it. As far s the components, if Macki would have a use for them,I'd suggest that ashdown ship their stock to 'em.
Ease of Use
Here again,what manual ?
Quality
I have my old KUSTOM K-250 the thing has got be 40 years old . but at least there is no annoying fans,or hums. You ask the queation, "Would the product be appropiate for use "on the road" ? Yes, as long as there is no hazardous chemicals in it, I would… read more consider using it on the road to fill a pothole!
Value
NO!
Manufacturer Support
My initial dilike was their bright VU meter lamp that flickers, contacted ashdown and was told if I removed the bulb it voided the warranty. The bulb isn't even covered by warranty !
The Wow Factor
liked the 2 driven channels with the mono block front end. Thinking Hmmmmm, Bass guitar lots of low end power, good for center bass on home stereo. Last time I buy forign built junk ! will Consider macki next time, or yamaha. Asfaras "sex appeal" may work if you " drop it on your beloved or aspirations ! LOL
