I've been searching for a guitar with the rosewood body and the mahogany neck for some time now. I really like the deep base sound and the overall projection of this type of wood not to mention the strength and play-a- ability in the mahogany neck. I'm so glad that I purchased this Yamaha. The sound is truly assume, the neck plays very well and requires very little string pressure to play it. If I had purchased a Martin, Taylor or Gibson with the same specs ( including the electronics and same wood) it would cost no less than 2500.00 dollars and the only thing extra you get is the "made in the USA" label. I'm a vet and I love my country, but sometimes you just have face the facts.. Yamaha is not made in America but it was made for Americans, and this is one of the best guitars I have ever played. If your on the fence, this is a great guitar, at a great price, and you will not be disappointed.
