I am a spare bedroom recording hobbyist.Probably much like “most” of us. I’ve been doing this long enough to where the entry level interfaces don’t have the appeal to me anymore, yet I don’t need a UA Apollo 8 because it’s just me with some instruments, electronic drum set, and a friend or two once in a while.I couldn’t be happier! I get great clarity in my mixes and my instruments. Thanks to the awesome UA converters!I’ll sum this up for those that are doing their research much like I did...If you have thunderbolt 3 connectivity, it’s a no brainer. If you don’t plan on recording 5 piece bands at once, it’s a no brainer.If you don’t plan on using all of UA’s plugins, it’s got more than enough DSP power to get you where you need to be.I have a nice collection of software and VST Plugins so I don’t need to rely too heavily on UA’s plugins that will “tax” the DSP of the unit. If you plan on using their plugins on every single track that you ever record, well, then maybe consider an Apollo Twin Quad.But if you’re just looking for something with very low latency, great converters that are capable of producing a radio ready track then look no further and order this bad boy.Very sturdy, reliable drivers, and it’s fairly portable if that’s your thing. People that complain about it not shipping with a thunderbolt cable are clueless. Yeah it would be cool, but I’m also an adult, I ordered one for $20 on amazon and it was delivered the same day… read more as the arrow.Get your life together :)Thanks zZounds!
