Tuned from B to B, Taylor's 6-string baritone GS yields a deep, potent tonal voice that will appeal to singer-songwriters and other players who favor playing in a lower register. The baritone also blends well with other instruments, adding a different sonic texture to create a rich, ensemble sound.

Taylor baritone guitars are designed for playing in a lower register with normal string tension, thanks to a longer 27-inch scale length. Tuned to B (B E A D F# B), the deeper acoustic tone is voiced with the GS body shape and a wood combination of Indian rosewood with Sitka spruce. A great choice for singers with a lower vocal range or players who favor a detuned sound, the baritone is offered as either a 6-string or an 8-string with two added octave strings that expand the tonal range.

Incredible instrument! Well conceived design and brilliantly executed by Taylor's artisan builders. Fit and finish is flawless. Set up was about midway between high and low action, had my man lower action and playability is surprisingly light. Low end is nice and tight, takes a light touch to bring out the clarity or you can get after it to get the strings jangling just a bit. New ideas do indeed flow from this remarkable guitar. Wrote two new prices in first 24 hours!
