I've never owned a real acoustic before. I've owned several electrics and bought my son a Rogue 3/4 scale acoustic from Amazon(lol. like I said, never had a real one). I had been looking for a real acoustic for a little while and then zZounds had this amazing deal on two Taylor guitars. I decided to bite the bullet. I've ordered a ridiculous amount of stuff from zZounds and not once had any issues with the equipment or the customer service. Seriously, zZounds is the best and it's not even close. The guitar itself is extremely thinly protected, but it FEELS amazing. I've never picked up an acoustic this nice before, honestly. I'm not a professional. I just love to play music with my friends and family. Most of my instruments would probably be considered intermediate. This guitar is just quality, right out of the box. The intonation and string height were perfect for me. The neck is smooth and offers no resistance when playing. For an acoustic neck, it's great. It's still not as comfortable to play as most of my electrics, but it's not that far off either. The sound is.... great. I was hoping to get something with a good amount off low end that was very clear on the high end and I got that for the most part. Honestly, the low end is pretty good. I've heard better/more impressive low end, but those other guitars were not nearly as articulate as this one is. It's really just a nice guitar. It's not flashy, but it's sensible and it's really just a perfect guitar to jam with. I wish read more it had a tuner built into the EQ, but that's not a huge deal. It's a Taylor! Get it!
