The Tama Cocktail-JAM Mini Kit is a Tama original, in both appearance and sound. This kit is similar to Tama's Cocktail-JAM kit, but each drum is 2" smaller in diameter on the Cocktail-JAM Mini kit, making this kit even more compact and convenient. This kit is great for hip-hop, jazz, or any music style requiring a tight sonic conception. Especially at-home in intimate acoustic settings and tight rehearsal rooms, the Cocktail-JAM Mini kit can be set up in the traditional drum set position, yet with a super small footprint.

Cymbals and small percussion can be added to the Cocktail-Jam Mini kit using Tama's variety of clamps and attachments to make this kit even more versatile. Additionally, the Cocktail-JAM Mini Kit and its hardware can be packed into just two bags (included with the kit), making it super portable and easy to transport to any gig. Bass drum pedal and mounting brackets are included.

A nice set, cool idea, looks to be pretty good quality. The snare, though high pitched, is amazing. Shells inside don’t look as high quality as the larger birch set, but they don’t look bad either. Set up fitting in two bags is great but full set up takes a little time and I’m almost thinking I’d forgoe the bags unless the weather is bad and just put the whole set up in the back of the car to gigs. Love the small profile, a neat idea that takes some getting used to, but I was playing pretty cool stuff after tweaking the set up to my liking. Memory locks are nice but a couple of them in this set felt like the nuts were stripped. This was a blem model purchase. The plus is low profile, but not yet sure I can’t get the same results with deeper bass with a snare, rack tom and bass, leaving large floor time home. Still this is an ingenious idea - stacking bass and floor Tom, and it sounds pretty good. Small but good. Bags by the way are great!!!
