The Sennheiser e840 Evolution-series microphone is a professional cardioid vocal mic, developed to cut through high on-stage levels. The e840 features rugged, durable construction, and is insensitive to handling noise. The e840 efficiently suppresses sounds emanating from outside its pickup angle, and is fitted with a hum-compensating coil for reducing electromagnetic interference.

senheiser definitely has the look. More appealing than the shure microphones. However, shure still is versatile in its overall sound.
Sound
The tailored made frequencies of this microphone are awesome. However, on problem is that though there is good clarity in the sound, the overall prescence isn't a full sound. I still go with the beta.
Ease of Use
The high mid area often gave me trouble with the monitoring, but once that was worked out, it sounded great.
Quality
I like the overall appearance of the mic, but then it is all downhill after that.
The Wow Factor
I like the physical overall appearance of this microphone.
