Rode Broadcaster Condenser Microphone

A standard in broadcast studios, the Rode Broadcaster is an ultra-low-noise cardioid condenser microphone with an internal pop filter and "On Air" light.

Like its name suggests, this RODE microphone was specifically designed for 'ON-AIR' applications where wide frequency response and low distortion are demanded.

Winner of the Radio World/US National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) 'What's Cool' award in 1998, the Broadcaster has become an industry standard when studio sound quality is required for on air applications.

Utilizing an Australian designed and manufactured RODE 1-inch externally biased condenser transducers, the Broadcaster features a switchable high pass filter to remove low frequency rumble.

A unique 'ON-AIR' LED indicator can be switched on or off by shorting contacts on the 5 pin audio connector. This feature allows console operators to warn the 'talent' that the mic is live.

Features:

- HF2 1-inch capsule with gold plated diaphragm
- On-Air indicator LED
- Ultra low noise
- Voice tailored low-cut feature
- Internal pop filter
- Rugged stainless steel body

The RODE Broadcaster microphone is one of the best microphones I have ever used for voice overs! I am a voice over artist with a male baritone-bass voice. During my voice over career, I've used Neuman, Sennheiser, Shure and other brand name microphones that cost 3x to 5x times more. The RODE Broadcaster is one of the best microphones for my male baritone-bass voice overs. It reproduces a clean, true, warm sound that isn't harsh on the low end without using any EQ or processing! I love the sound of this mic. The RODE Broadcaster has become my "Go-To" mic for audiobooks and every other VO project in my studio!
