Overview

The OverDrive 202 picks up where the Overdrive 200 left off and features three voices with their own overdrive channel, reverb, limiter, and a cabinet simulated line out. The three voices range from the enhanced Quilter classic Full Q on voice 1, the "bell-like" harmonically rich voice 2, through to the incisive and full bodied attack of voice 3. The Overdrive 202 delivers an appropriate voice for any musical setting. Combine with a UFC-3 and BlockDock 12 HD for the ultimate grab and go rig.

Featuring 3 voicings, two controllable channels, seven powerful controls, pre/post signal/headphone jack, cab-sim that automatically tracks output settings, with traditional Quilter warmth, all add up to unmatched tonal versatility.

Quilter has established themselves as a great amp company among the giants. This time with a very nice addition to their "Toneblock Series" The amp has 3 different EQ switches that according to Quilter emulate either an early Marshall, Dumble (Clean), or a Mesa amp. I found this a little confusing because there's a myriad of Dumble and Mesa amps, however if you're an experienced musician, you can probably tell what's what. Regardless, you can find some really nice tones in all 3 iterations. I love the fact that you can use it as a silent practice amp and use the send/receive FX loop to connect an aux source of music to play with. The 200 watts are enough for most musicians to power some descent speakers, and the overdrive channels is killer too. You can take this amp under your arm and go do any gig, just send it through the PA or house system and you good. Outstanding equipment!!
