Bought the 5 string HH HD Yellow. Quality bass. Neck is a thing of beauty - both the roasted maple and gunstock wax finish. Plays fast and on the five string, not very bulky in the hand. It is much lighter than the previous versions of the Stingray (so I've read). As it is my first Stingray, I can't comment on the sound vs. older incarnations - but between the pickups/coil selection and the 3 band EQ you should be able to dial in a tone that suits your needs.

Musical Background:

Paying for 5+ years. Play bass guitar. Primarily bedroon player.

Musical Style:

Rock, hard to progressive.
