Marshall JVM210H 2-Channel Guitar Amplifier Head (100 Watts)

With two footswitchable channels, this 100-watt Marshall head is ready to handle any situation. Get that classic British tone thanks to the EL34 power tubes.

Want pure tube sound, enormous tonal range, and serious customizability? You want the 2-channel, 100-watt Marshall JVM210H. This guitar amplifier head's front panel is a delight for tone freaks, while its MIDI-ready interface and supplied footswitch make it an incredibly versatile tool for live performance.

Legendary Custom Valve Design

The Marshall JVM210H employs two sets of custom-designed tubes to achieve its incredible tonal capabilities. The preamp section has 4 x ECC83 vales that offer unmatched clarity and depth at the low end of the gain stage, developing gradually into rich and complex crunches and overdrives. The drive stage employs 1 x ECC83 and 4 x EL34s to drive this tone through to your speakers.

Ingenious Footswitch

The JVM210H comes with a fully programmable footswitch in a unique, patent-pending design -- allowing you to pre-set entire configurations and recall them with a single tap of the foot. Prepare different guitar tones for whatever your music requires, and save them as footswitchable presets. The design promises silent switching, and remembers the position of each front panel knob for any preset. It even remembers volume levels, and whether or not the Reverb or FX Loop is turned on or off for a given preset. When you switch to any one of your presets, the switch settings will be right like you left them! The footswitch itself is housed in a super-rugged steel casing with blank panels that allow you to label your presets as you'd like. read more

Intuitive and Powerful Controls

The front panel on the Marshall JVM210H is simple and straightforward, yet offers incredible tonal crafting capabilities. It has a single input that is switchable between the Clean/Crunch and Overdrive channels. On each channel, you'll find a Master Gain, a 3-band EQ, and Volume. There is a separate Reverb section with controls for both channels. The Master section features two Master Volume knobs, as well as Resonance and Presence.

Thoughtful and Powerful I/O

The rear panel on the JVM210H features a Serial/Parallel FX Loop with a +4 dB/-10 dB pad switch and an FX Loop mix knob. There's also a separate Send/Return for hooking up with an external power amp, with an Active/Bypass switch. A balanced XLR output lets you run direct to mixers in studio situations, while the footswitch jack and MIDI I/O give you incredible onstage versatility.

For rock sounds this is does the job. It can get a myriad of overdriven sounds from a Southern Rock kinda sound to Priest to the Heavier drop tuning stuff. I got the 2 channel version because that is all I needed. I got this running to a 1960B cabinet (closed back) and this setup pushes alot of air. If you are looking for something that can also get really clean chimey bell like tones (think Fender tube amps) then it would be stretching it a little. The footswitch is cool and you can program it to save settings ( Gain Levels, reverb) or use the footswitch for channel switching. Atta boy for Marshall Support - I reached out to contact Marshall for a question about the head and they responded back with in 24 hours. I have reached out to them in the past and they were always accessableeven with the timezone differences. This is the second time I went 'to zZounds and they were great. I got my purchase the next day. The salesman was cool to work with and talk to. And it was the best price in town for this head purchased as new. zZounds will be my first place to check when I am looking for equipment before I go to the "Usual Suspects". You have to check around or should anyway but I got the feeling that they will beat the competition (Guitar Center, Musicians Friend, Sweet Water etc ...) Thanks zZounds!
