Martin took the GPCX1AE and reimagined it. The result is the GPC-X2E Mahogany. This Grand Performance sized model features a cutaway body with a Sitka spruce top and figured mahogany pattern high-pressure laminate (HPL) back and sides. New mother-of-pearl pattern inlay on the rosette and fingerboard lend a richness to the GPC-X2E Mahogany, making it as impressive to look at as it is to play. A Performing Artist neck, fingerboard, and bridge of select hardwood improve upon the sound transfer of this model. It is equipped with Fishman MX electronics and strung with Martin's Authentic Acoustic Lifespan 2.0 strings. With a new, soft gig bag featuring headstock, bridge, and endpin protectors, a durable water-repellent exterior and foam padding, this model is ready to go anywhere.

"Do Not Buy This Guitar"

This guitar was sitting next to 5 other guitars that I own. I went a couple of weeks without picking it up and when I did the neck was so far out of alignment that the strings would not strum openly. The other guitars were fine as they were all warm and inside. I have never seen this happen before. As an added bonus Martin included a tool that does not fit the truss rod. This is my 1st Martin purchase and the worst guitar I have ever bought. If you have a choice between this and a Taylor I would encourage you to buy the Taylor. My $400 Ibanez is better than this piece of crap.
