TRANSFORMERLESS TWIN TUBE AND TRANSISTOR HYBRID

This hybridized reimagining of the tube microphone utilizes a NOS Pentode tube for gain staging, a low-noise FET for signal division, and a balanced vacuum tube output in place of a transformer. To maintain temperature balance within this unique signal path, both tubes are secured in a milled aluminum isolation chamber.

Polar patterns have a significant impact on the sound of microphone because each selection determines what the microphone hears. PREMIUM COMPONENTS

The Oceanus signal path is populated with high resolution, low distortion polypropylene capacitors, NOS and new production vacuum tubes, and a US made low-noise FET. The result is a clear, open, multidimensional sound that jumps out of a mix.

FINISHING TOUCHES

After being hand-polished, the Oceanus' solid brass enclosure is hand finished with a durable, non-toxic ceramic coating and baked in an oven for curing before final assembly, burn-in, and testing.
