Phil Collen's infamous glam-rock guitar tone and in-your-face technique are heard all over the trajectory of Def Leppard's career -- and now his persona has been captured in his signature Jackson PC-1 electric guitar. This beauty sports a DiMarzio Super 3 bridge humbucker, a DiMarzio HS2 Stacked humbucking middle pickup, and the ever-enduring Jackson Sustainer/Driver at the neck. These hot babies are housed in a quilted maple-topped mahogany body attached to a bolt-on quartersawn maple neck of 24 jumbo frets. Your controls include volume, tone, and intensity control knobs next to two on/off switches for your Sustainer/Driver and your fundamental/harmonic/blend settings. Your playing will linger in endless sustain with this axe's driving sonic versatility and addicting playability.

Hot DiMarzio Pickups Drive an Assailing Wail

If you listen to the screaming glam-rock solos of Def Leppard's songs, you'll certainly notice a tone that cannot be ignored. Collen's licks and attention-stealing style come through in full drive with your two DiMarzio humbuckers. Your Super 3 bridge humbucker boasts more midrange and a chopped-up treble -- perfect if you pump a lot of gain through your amp. Your HS2 Stacked humbucking middle pickup projects a natural and solid tone in humbucking mode and gives you a nice vintage tone in single-coil mode.

Mahogany Body and Quartersawn Maple Neck

You'll feel the solidness of your PC-1's quilted-maple-topped mahogany body instantly. Mahogany adds a read more nice and dark color to your driving DiMarzio pickups. This axe's bolt-on quartersawn maple neck plays like a dream and allows for a nice transfer of sound. 24 jumbo frets provide two octaves to get you to those screeching highs heard all over Def Leppard's sound.

EBow-Like Jackson Sustainer/Driver

At the end of the fretboard, you'll find a Jackson Sustainer/Driver pickup -- a wonderful added-treat that will stretch your tones to endless lengths. Switch to the sustainer setting and you get a fixed EBow-like resonating pickup that you don't have to hold in your hand. You'll have the freedom to hold chords, individual notes, or produce biting feedback and use your whammy bar in complete independence and ease. Plus, it sounds great.

Floyd Rose Original Double Locking Tremolo

Your signature PC-1 comes with a flexible and stable Floyd Rose double locking 2-point tremolo system. The feel of your whammy bar is smooth and sturdy at the same time, and double locking means you won't have to worry about intonation no matter how high you bend or how deep you dive your strings.

Ya this guitar is definitely one of the best. I personally am an ESP dude for the most part but I like Jackson as well. I love the PC1. It takes me back to the good old days in LA when I was rocking my soloist. This guitar really plays sounds and looks perfect. Phil Collen is a man who has an attention to detail. You can really see that in this guitar. awesome. And it is icing on the cake that they used dimarzio pickups. My personal favz. Really nice guitar. Get one if you are able. You wont be disappointed.

Musical Background:

Musical Style:

Hard rock, some would say metal. With a Christian message. It's guitar based rock.
