The Ibanez AE2412 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar features contemporary design elements to achieve high playability and create a well-balanced sound that adheres to the concept of the AE series. The combination of the specially designed Scalloped X Bracing and Tone Projection Back Bracing produces a versatile sound character. Rich sustain is provided, which works for both finger and plectrum playing. The all-mahogany body of the AE2412 generates a woody, warm tone with a soft response when finger picking and provides punchy high-mids with a clear projection when strumming. Furthermore, 12-string construction provides a rich open sound. The fretboard inlay has a delicate but dynamic design, and the wooden inlays give a sophisticated feel to the guitar.

The compact, onboard active preamp simply features a mute switch to eliminate unexpected parameter changes during performances. This helps reduce the guitar's size and weight, minimize body contact, and maximize the acoustic tone. The under-the-saddle pickup equalizes the volume of each string and delivers a well-balanced signal. The natural acoustic tone from this active circuit is remarkably stable and resists noise. It will support performances on stage, from solos to ensembles.

So I just got this puppy delivered today...it is fantastic. The pictures do not do it justice of just how beautiful of a guitar that it is.. it is really stunning. It also has the lowest action that I have ever played on a 12-string.... normally I have to do something with the neck or lower the bridge or something to make it easier play but this guitar was ready to play right out of the box... it did take a little bit to get the tuning right but so far after a couple hours it still is in tune.It sounds fantastic plugged in as well..... it sounds cool as it is but if you add a little bit of Reverb and little bit of delay.... the sound that you get is pretty phenomenal.I have always been more a fender guy myself but I have to say this Ibanez is pretty freaking fantastic. If you are looking for a really nice sounding 12-string that will not break the bank this is the guitar for you.

Sound
The sound is amazing... when I plugged it in and added some effects to it it took an already amazing sounding guitar to a whole new level.. The only thing that I can say that I wish I had was an onboard equalizer and tuner...my fender kinda spoiled me with that.

Features
It is a very basic guitar that is something that I will say has a slight negative.... but at the end of the day you pay for how I guitar sounds and not all the bells and whistles

Ease of Use
It is the smoothest playing 12 string that I've read more ever picked up.

Quality
It seems really sturdy and really well-made.

Value
I have play 12 strings that are twice as much and don't feel near as good as this one does... for the money it is the best 12-string that. I have ever played.

Manufacturer Support
Not sure yet

The Wow Factor
The rich mahogany tones will make you feel like Ron Burgundy.... it is really kind of a big deal

Musical Style:
A litttle bit of everything
