Awesome hunk of wood, superb craftsmanship, absolutely FLAWLESS and plays like a dream! I was deeply taken aback at the fact that a Korean made guitar was commanding with tax etc, $1500 to $2,000, never heard of such nonsense! Well I have a Custom 2013 Gibson ES 335 and I hate to say it, but this Guild Starfire VI is a better and superior guitar IN EVERY WAY and comes with a really nice form fitting expensive quality Guild case! Sorry, don't mean to anger any purist but I've been an amature luthier and professional musician for more than 50 years and have worked on and played every kind of high end axe you can name, and I'm adamantly saying this is a better guitar than the present Gibsons out there. My only con is instead of the default stiff #11 strings, it should come default with #.09s or #10s. I put .09s on mine and man.....oooo weee! AND THESE PICKUPS...they're to die for! They sound soooo darn good, just like a high end set of Jason Lollar's or Virgil Arlo's, you know what I mean,...sort of like the sizzling bucker pups on a high end 1960's Custom SG. This axe is well worth the money, matter of fact it's worth saving your spare bucks to buy it! Can't speak for manufacturer's support tho.
