Inspired by years of Made to Measure requests and the creativity of the artisans of the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, this limited-run model brings one of the most beloved single-pickup guitars back to life with period-correct detail and unmistakable style.

Crafted from solid mahogany and finished in a Murphy Lab Light Aged Vintage Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer, the body has the kind of subtle checking, fading, and wear that usually takes decades to develop. The result is a guitar that looks and feels like a well-loved original, with the resonance and response to match.

The neck is carved to the Authentic 1961 Thin D Shape profile and joined with a long neck tenon for added sustain and stability. A rosewood fretboard with celluloid dot inlays, medium jumbo frets, and a 12-inch radius offers a smooth, familiar playing surface, while the 24.75-inch scale length and nylon nut contribute to the guitar's warm, articulate tone.

At the heart of the SG Junior's voice is a single Dogear P-90 pickup in the bridge position--bright, punchy, and unapologetically bold.
