I have a lot of guitars, a few amps. I’ve never been 1000% brand loyal, or staunch about any particular piece of equipment, I just play what feels good, and sounds good. This guitar is amazing. I can’t seem to put a finger on it, or narrow what I love about it, and that leads me to believe that it’s EVERYTHING. It took me about and hour to put 11’s on it, adjust the action a bit (not much), and turn the truss rod a little. After that, I plugged straight in, and it was on. The neck is extremely smooth and fast, feels a little different than my other Les Pauls. The feel of the body is a little clunky, but after I got used to it, it’s not an issue. Other than the stunning looks of this guitar (pictures don’t do it justice) the high point is the pickups. Lately, I plug straight into my Marshall, and this thing takes off like an F-16. On the bridge pickup, with the gain all the way up, it’s all Randy Rhodes. I can get anything I want, harmonics, tapping, absolutely no loss in signal. Mixing the neck and bridge sounds just like Jimmy Page, and the neck alone sounds amazing. Like I said, straight into the amp, no effects other than a little reverb. I try to play my other guitars, but I just can’t put this one down right now. Highly recommend, especially for the price.
