Delivered in just one day (thank you zZounds), and this amp smells so good till at first I didn't know whether to hook it up or eat it. My wife asked if there was another woman in the house. The tweed is soaked in and coated with Nitrocellulose Lacquer (the same good smelling lacquer they put on Gibsons). It seems to be sturdily constructed and sounds absolutely marvellous. My only cons are the chicken head knobs move too easily and must be paid attention to lest they get moved out of position at the slightest touch. #2. The cord is attached and non removable, and is anchored on the INSIDE of the cabinet instead of on the outside, never saw anything like that before and to me it makes no sense. #3. It was delivered by FEDEX, and the box it came in was severely damaged and opened, just like the box my new Strat from zZounds was when it arrived last week. Luckily neither the guitar nor the amp was damaged, or at least as far as I can ascertain. Also just to note, the Fender warranty isn't worth peanuts and it covers hardly anything, and if you do have to send it in for repairs you'll have to pay for the shipping, insurance etc, and any all other costs involved. Other than those issues this is a beautiful, heavenly sounding, good smelling chunk o "tronics", but in my opinion a bit overpriced, especially since it's Mexican made, and Marshall puts out an English made tube amp in the same class that's $100 to #150 cheaper. However, it's a Fender and the clears are unmatched by any read more other brand.
