"The World's Most Beautiful Electric Guitar"

The Les Paul Custom made its debut in 1954 after the initial success of the Les Paul Goldtop. Mr. Les Paul himself wanted to convey to audiences that the electric guitar was not a fad but a superb and challenging instrument--the king of all electric solid body guitars. So, Les requested a Les Paul with a custom finish and gold hardware that would look sophisticated on any size stage. The Les Paul Custom quickly became one of the most recognized guitars in the world and Les himself used his Les Paul Custom in concerts, on his weekly television show with wife Mary Ford, and on his album covers, including his famous duet with pal Chet Atkins, Chester and Lester. Now with a stunning figured koa top with a Natural finish and Epiphone's superior ProBucker humbucker pickups with coil-splitting, we think you'll agree that the Epiphone Les Paul Custom PRO koa is indeed one of the world's most beautiful guitars.

Les Paul Power With a KOA Top

The Ltd. Ed. Les Paul Custom PRO Koa features a warm, tone rich figured KOA top along with read more the Custom's traditional solid mahogany body in a rare Natural finish and 5-ply white and black binding on the KOA top and Mahogany back as well as the "Custom" classic headstock. Just like Les' personal Custom, the Les Paul Custom PRO Koa has a solid mahogany 24.75" scale neck with white binding that's hand-fitted and glued-in for optimum neck-to-body contact so the Les Paul Custom PRO Koa resonates as single piece of wood. The Pau Ferro fingerboard has pearloid block inlays, a 12" radius, a 1.68" Graphtech nut, and 22 medium-jumbo frets.

ProBucker Power With Coil-Splitting

The Les Paul Custom PRO Koa is powered by Epiphone's critically acclaimed ProBucker pickups, a 4-wire design with coil-splitting inspired by Gibson's legendary BurstBuckers. ProBucker pickups recreate the sound of the original hand-wound "PAF" humbuckers made by Seth Lover at the Kalamazoo factory in the late '50s. Epiphone ProBuckers feature all the same ingredients as original PAF and BurstBucker pickups, including Alnico II magnets, Elektrisola magnet wire, 18% nickel silver unit bases and covers, and pole screws, slugs and bobbins manufactured to Gibson's original specifications.

The result is a phenomenal pickup that, over time, will develop the subtle, one-of-a-kind characteristics that you can only get from vintage humbuckers. And best of all, those unique pickup characteristics will give your guitar a unique "voice." No two vintage Les Pauls sound alike and ProBuckers give your Epiphone Les Paul Custom PRO Koa a one-of-a-kind sound that will get better the more you play.

Something about this Epi LP caught my eye the moment I saw it. I have never been a big fan of the LP, this is the first one that I have owned and it is also the first Epi that I have owned. I can honestly say that after playing this guitar my mind has been changed. I am blown away by the quality of this guitar. Everything about this LP is just awesome. I am now officially and Epi and LP fan. I will definitely be buying a couple more Epi's if this is an indication of the build quality. This LP goes from a very clean to a mean sound, the pick ups are great. The Koa top on this thing is just WOW! the picture on zZounds just does not do this LP justice. The moment I opened the box and saw the koa top....jaw dropping.
