An oversized headstock for added string length, coupled with a bolt-on maple neck and basswood body give this Dean ZX rock-solid stability and ease of play.

Dean's version of this classic rock guitar features a basswood body, bolt-on neck, V-shaped tailpiece, fixed bridge, zebra pickups, and Grover tuners. The added string length created by the exclusive headstock coupled with the original Dean Neck design provides incredible ease of play. Still offered in its original configuration, the Z has withstood the test of time.

I bought this because it was affordable, and I really wanted a z body guitar. This guitar completely surpassed my expectations. The pictures don't do this beauty justice first off. The neck feels fantastic, a couple rough spots but easily sanded out, the pickups sound great, clean highs and heavy lows, and it stays in tune well despite hours of playing. It's also very light which I definitely enjoy. I didn't know if I liked it at first, but after jamming out with it I'm a Dean fan for life now.
