This setup is absolutely thorough and will not need to be upgraded (aside from me purchasing a nanopad) for a very long time. It's perfect for when you have a practice spot and keep the expensive stuff there and want to be creative and make music at home like me.
Sound
The zzounds producer pack is an obvious buy. At least it was for me. Yeah, the stuff may not be top tier quality, but I've made some pretty darn good recordings with it. The mic actually surprised me with its quality. The Focusrite interface is easy as pie and the Krks are great! You also can't go qrong with the M-audio Keyrig 49, though, I suggest getting a Korg Nanopad to do drums/samples with. The only con is the cans...they are terrible...they're loose and the sound quality...yuck..they are backs ups now; in the box in the closet. Overall, I can't say (even with the headphones)that I regret my decision to buy one bit!
Features
I wish the Focusrite had rca inputs and I wish the Keyrig had some percussion/sample pads as well as midi in/out.
Ease of Use
Plug and play (Mac). Can't go wrong there.
Quality
Everything except the headphones are of great quality. As far as the quality of the phones, they are made well, it's just that they don't sound very good also, don't tip your head back or forth...
Value
Absolutely! I'd pay for it again!
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had the need for support..
The Wow Factor
I did buy it..and it is sexy. Something about a condenser mic on a boom stand with a black nylon pop filter makes me..well uh, y'know..
