Feature:
There are too many features on this pedal to list, but here are a few - The quick release bass drum attachment is a great idea (you just flip a lever down and the pedal won't budge), I know other manufacturers do it, but Yamaha's double chains are amazing, and the fact that you can switch it a belt drive so easily is very good indeed, the glow in the dark 'wings' on either side of the massive base board are really good on a darkened stage. There are memory locks all over the shop, and the base board opens up with an allen key to fold flat and to fit into the supplied carry case. There are many more features beside but I can't think of them all right now.
Quality:
being Yamaha, the whole thing is a lesson in high quality. Other manufacturers should take note of Yamaha's genius. Everything fits together perfectly, there are absolutely no blemishes on the black and dark blue finish. The finely milled actual pedal, with it's motorbike - style chevrons is a joy to behold (and grips your feet very well, very well indeed).
Value:
As far as I know, there are only 2 top - of line pedals that are cheaper than this (the Peace Velocity 8 and whatever Premier's offering is) and considering the features and the fact that this is a top of the line pedal, the fact that it can be found for under
