I bought this because I can't carry Fender tube amps around anymore. Was looking for a good sounding amp head that could produce tube-like tones. Now this amp has ALL the electrical switches and settings you could ask for. But you know, it just doesn't produce that crystal clear 'bell tone' Fender sounds that I'm looking for. I'm pushing it through a nice 1-12" vintage Jenson cabinet (identical to a Deluxe speaker), but it's just missing the 'mojo'. Right now I'm using a Cube 80GX through the same cabinet and I really like the tone. The Yamaha is just in reserve for rehearsals. I may use it for big gigs, but the small to medium gigs (most of my stuff) I'm now using my throw together 80GX head and either a 1-12" or 2-10" home made cabinet.
