"Great, affordable mixer!"

Picked up this USB-enabled Yamaha mixer as a backup for my mobile DJ system mostly for the built-in effects, but it is a very versatile unit. Easy to use, very clean-sounding and durable -- everything you want in a piece of equipment that gets lugged around from gig to gig. This is now my go-to main mixer.

I have several mixers, but I find this an AWESOME piece of equipment - easy to use, great effects, convenient footprint on my desktop. And ZZOUNDS is certainly my favorite source for my pro-audio needs - prompt, very courteous live connection.

"Perfect for my DAW"

I tried out a Behringer xenyx, but it was junk right out of the box. That was the third time I've had problems with their mixers, so I opted for the Yamaha, and I was not disappointed. This mixer came with clear and concise directions and took off right out of the gate. I will say, the effects are not the best I've ever heard, but they are adequate and frankly, I bought this mixer to be a mixer, not an effects processor. I already have plenty of those. The effects that are on the mixer work really nice for vocals and podcasting, though, and two of the mic inputs have single dial compression knobs, which make it even better for vocals.

This unit gets hot in the back about one hours use the Mike pre are excellent effects sound awesome but I have found that with the pitch shift it bleeds into the headphone monitor my first mg10xu had terrible sound squeal through the headphones couldn't bring the mic gain up and overall terrible piece of equipment went back the second time but this time tested the unit before just purchasing it and this unit is excellent gone is the annoying squeal still bleeds through the headphone monitor caused by the pitch shift but this unit overall is excellent so all I can say is this unit is a hit and miss mixer so pay the extra $50 get the three year warranty if you want peace of mind

"Nice little mixer !"

I bought this as my first ever mixer and it has made a big difference in the way my electronic / acoustic drums sound . With plenty of inputs . I have a Roland TD-17KVX / Yamaha Stage Custom Hip Kit and plugging the module directly into an amp / pa sounded good but running the module through the mixer has really made this kit shine. Add a little compression and a hint of reverb and wow ! Like a different kit. The comp really makes the snares pop and the toms have a nice resonance with the reverb. Plus you can adjust the highs , mids and lows. There is a list of other effects too. Chorus , flanger , delay etc. Just a great little mixer that would be good for anything. Built solid and should last a long time . The usb is another great feature . Hook it up to your computer and daw and recording is a snap. The only issue I had was with the "free" Steinberg / Cubase software it comes with. I had trouble downloading it with their website. So I went with Reaper. But this mixer would be great for solo guitarists , small bands , podcasting , dj , whatever. A solid mixer that won't break the bank.
