I am absolutely impressed with the CGS104 given it’s price point. On average over the past couple of years I play 2-3 hours a day on guitar. I mostly play for myself, therefore I don’t need anything “better”. I’ve been through so many guitars that were way more expensive to the point that they didn’t fit my lifestyle. Take yours into consideration when buying too. Anyways, no buzzing, chips or anything defective that would effect playability. Stays in tune fairly well. For me this is not a classroom guitar. It’s an everyday guitar. It’s beautiful and has a really pure sound to it. I couldn’t be happier. Thank you. Kudos to Yamaha and zZounds.

I really didn't have much enthusiasm for the guitar, thinking that it would be much. But after tuning it up, I was very pleasantly surprised. The guitar actually sounds quite good. I haven't change to premium strings yet, but I know it will sound even better than it already does. Student guitar? Hey, I'm on a budget, and I can take this guitar for my only guitar into classical studies! I don't need a very expensive classical guitar to putter around with in the house. I have three other guitars that are very good, but not suited to classical style. I'm impressed and it's a keeper!

Been playing for many years. Pop. I have several guitars and two pianos. I love playing!

Rock, pop.

After settting a decent string height the guitar meets anyone's expectations. After some polishing of the frets it really plays nicely.

Playing since 1974

I really push the limits between blues, rock, classical, and bluegrass country
