Extremely beautiful guitar. Arrived quickly in perfect condition. Only had to tune it, and add a little relief to prevent buzz when strumming strongly Only minor negative was the quality of the inlaid pearl dots on fretboard. Most are shiny and a few are dark. Sound is surpurb acoustically or amplified. Very comfortably to play many hours

I sought out a second acoustic electric to compliment my larger Fender dreadnought, looking for something smaller and thinner for long practice sessions. It came down to either a parlor guitar (of which there are many excellent choices) or a mini-jumbo like the Yamahas or Washburns at this price point. I opted for the APX500iii in the natural finish, opting for the full scale neck. To start, it came out of the box with a subtle and beautiful flame to the back and sides (pictures don't do it justice). The intonation and action were also spot-on -- I had several unplayable lemon acoustics on delivery in the past, so I was delighted that I didn't even have to touch the truss rod. Like other reviews that you might read, it's not super deep in the bass department. However, the APX500iii has a sound character all its own: it's bright, great on mid-range and treble, and projects fairly loud for its slim profile. It really shines when plugged in. I'm having great fun running it through my Vox StompLab and working through some of the acoustic/ballad programs. Wow, the shimmery Bowie tones that come out with some slight chorus and phaser! This is a great guitar choice for beginners or anyone who needs some extra comfort... it's becoming my go-to for all learning and practicing.

The ordering process is simple. Great tracking system for your items. My Yamaha arrived the day it was scheduled in new condition. Right after I tested and tuned it using the onboard tuner, I figured a few days to get used to the feeling of the guitar. Wrong! It plays beautifully! I really like the neck size, width, depth, ect. The sound just keeps getting better and it rarely needs re-tuning. Love it and highly recommend this guitar from beginner to the pro player. I have the blue color that matches my Gibson ES135 and am totally satisfied from order to delivery to the product!!

I play out a few times a month. I was skeptical of this guitar because of the price, but tried it because it had good reviews and Yamaha is a trusted name. The guitar is everything it promise and more. Glad I got it.

I was hoping for more of a thin body guitar. This guitar feels almost like a full body to me. Too bad there is no way for me to bring one to you, for you to try for yourself, or I would. On the other side of the token, I must tell you that I am a paraplegic guitarist and playing with my wheels somewhat in my way can be a neusanse. All of this being said, I must also say keep in mind the price of the guitar. FOR...THE...PRICE..,it is a great sounding guitar. I didn't buy it for its value, comparable to a Gibson or any other higher end guitar, and neither should you. It's a great go to guitar though for ANY AND ALL who want to start playing guitar or use it for practice or pick up during commercials in front of the TV.
