Feature:
Just included a tremlo bar. Not to complex, one volume pod and a three-way switch. As for least useful features, it is perfect for me some players may want more toys to tinker with.
The guitar is very light and easily manuverable, the choice of wood, hardware and electronics fit perfect and come at a great price!
Quality:
Great craftsmanship with attention to small details. It is a simple but well crafted instrument. There were no cosmetic blemishes, the guitar was tightly put together and well presented. I have put my original N1 through the ringer for over 10 years and it has stood the test of time. Touring, stage antics and hissy fits. It is perfect for stage use and road travel gigs and seems like it will last forever.
Value:
The N1 is a perfect instrument for it's price, it actually surprises me that Washburn can get away with selling it so cheap!
It is a diamond in hiding, and definately a hot guitar at a hot price!
Desirability:
The natural wood finishes are so Earthy and give you a sense of being one with the instrument. And the way it plays makes you want to go all night.
Sound:
The sound is full of tone on the neck pick-up, and bright and hot on the bridge pick-up. The quality of the sound is very intense.
I play covers and original music that is compared to Chevelle, and it works perfect.I use it out live and it has produced a great tone and sound in the studio as well.
A good idea for just a bit more bite in sound is a Seymour Duncan sh-6 in the bridge spot.
Support:
The Wasburn company has answered every question I have sent them in a very timely manner. They are easy to contact and know there products inside and out.
I have placed a SH-6 in the bridge spot of my original green N1.
And it carries .013 gauge strings and is tuned to B full time.
Overall:
I have had my original N1 since 1995 and I do not plan on replacing it any time soon. In fact, I plan on purchasing at least one more.
