"Subtle, Transparent Versatile Chorus"

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars

Coming from BOSS CH-1, the Wampler Nirvana is a 'different' chorus. It is clean and transparent. I am a big Wampler user (7 pedals on my board) and this completed the rig replacing the BOSS. That said, I am so used a colored 'lushy' chorus that I was surprised to experience such a clean tone even with the 3 chorus switch engaged. It wasn;t until I went to 'vibrato' mode that I was able to find the richness I was looking for. Still transparent which is a good thing though many chorus users may not be used to that. Vibrato in actual terms is a modulation (the rapid changing of pitch like a misnamed tremolo arm on a guitar) so this is a not a 'vibrato' like an amp (which is actually a tremolo and a quick changing of volume). Be prepared for that. Great pedal. Another Wampler contribution to clear tone.
