Received this in the mail today. Within five minutes, I could tell it's a permanent keeper on the pedalboard. VERY, VERY good tones. Blackface at the edge of breakup, and beyond. But also very convincing clean shimmer. I play a Blues Jr, which in spite of being a black Fender, sounds nothing like a BF. The amp now sounds like a DR, Twin, SR, your pick. Gently breaking up at 4am, while the rest of the family is asleep down the hall. Try that with your BF.
I'll probably leave this pedal on nearly all the time. In fact, I find myself changing my amp settings to cleanest-neutral, so as not to AFFECT the TONE of the PEDAL. Backwards-crazy.

I would buy another black 65 right away if mine was stolen!
Sound
The black 65 does just what it says it does. When put through a non fender amp, it changes that amps sound to a sparkley overdriven old fender amp sound! When put through a fender amp the sound does not change as much, but it will get your fender amp sounding more overdriven at a lower volume setting.
Features
The seperate treble, mid, bass controls are why I bought this pedal. They work great, especially if you have a amp with only 1volume and 1 tone control.
Ease of Use
Very easy to get a good sound within minutes.
Quality
Wampler pedals are very solid.
Value
A little pricey, but worth it.
Manufacturer Support
I have not had any issues that needed support with.
