"Cuts it at small gigs but..."

well, great amp for finding "your" favourite type of tone.. is a good practice amp... very light.. only thing that is missing is a real bottom end... the 10 inch speaker is.. a ten inch speaker, needs to push more air.... if it had an external out.. i would be set for a while.. its not true tube, and you can hear that, but you cannot find a better modelling amp out there.. good for recording, rehearsals, small gigs (louder than my friends ycv80 and his hot rod dlx. this said, foot switch needs leds... and is flaky on mine.. overall.. nothing at this price point is better (unless you find a decent used tube amp with effects in out buffered)

I expect to be satisfied with this product for a few years to come. Definitely the best deal and quality for the buck. I would not hesitate to buy this product again.
Sound
The sound quality especially for the size of the amp is amazing. You could put on a small concert with this one. Sound responds very well to any playing style. I recommend to not underestimate the sonic power of the system or it could blow your ear drums. So using it in a big open space is recommended. Not all the different presets and channels put out the same amount of volume, some at aournd 20 watt setting will shake the floor while others you have to crank up to about 40 watts for same effect. So each push of a button or turn of a nob has very different sound and affect. Very versatile
Features
There enough features to keep anyone busy for a few days. You can spends hours just exploring the different sounds and effects you can get. For me all the features are very useful, I have very little need for any external pedals now. And the bank storage is very useful for saving 4 of you're most desired sounds. Just push whichever button you saved on and you're there. The selection of components seem to be top notch.
Ease of Use
It is very easy to get a multitude of great sounds no matter what your'e musical preference is. It is easy to use with all my other products as well. You definitely want to study the manual though cause it is loaded with features. That way you know what does what. I own three guitars two electrics and one acoustic electric and they all sound excellent through this amp.
Quality
It seems to be very well made, solid, and weighs about 12 pounds give or take and it is a TUBE!! What more do you want?
Value
For $250.00 this amp is a steal. It could easily be a $400 dollar amplifier.
Manufacturer Support
Have not dealt with company.
The Wow Factor
The appeal of this amp is excellent. I wanted this amp because of its versatility of effects, presets, and so on... I also own a Fender Super Champ XD which is also an excellent full tube amp. But even so the The Vox VT40plus outdoes it times five.

I just got this amp, and I love it ! This is my second Vox amp, so I know that the quality is there. Sounds awesome ! I rate manufacturer support in the middle, because I have never needed any from Vox. Have been using first Vox amp for 4 years with no problems.

Musical Background:

Play for fun.

Was quite surprised at how loud this amp is, and the 33 pre set songs are right on the money. It is a very versatile amp for the price. So far, no problems so can't really rate Manufacturer Support.

I will move up if this doesn't cut it at small gigs.
Sound
Have it a few weeks now and it just has me playing my guitar alot more now! The tones you can get from this are really nice even though I was a little leery of the 10" speaker. sounds great! Models are great. Fx are Ok. Loud, but the adjustable output is great. Good tones @ "bedroom" level and can still blast!
Features
Wish it had an external speaker jack, but consider the price.
Ease of Use
33 presets are pretty close and they can be "tweaked" and saved.
Quality
No problems, cosmetic or electronic. Good "fit and finish".
Value
Good value!
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to go there. However, Vox has an online forum with lots of fellow amp owners offering tons of good advice plus there is another "valvetronix" forum I go to now.
The Wow Factor
I used a 50W "small box" Marshall w/ 8 X 10 cab for many years...This Vox ain't that for sure, but I can carry this in one hand, LP in the other.

Musical Background:

Hobbyist now.

Musical Style:

Classic rock, country rock.
